Why does it show filtrete 16x25x4 ac furnace air filter, mpr 1550, fits honeywell and lennox devices, healthy living ultra allergen deep pleat, 2-pack

That is a question for the ad writer. This wire can be used to wire an AC unit, a powered whole house air filter such as a Honeywell or Lennox that use the big filters. If you need 12/2 romex type wire this is a good one. Just a note. Measure twice before ordering. It is a bit stressful to find out that you are five feet short, and have to order more.

Why does the product description of 12/2 electrical wire describe a furnace filter?

Maybe the proof reader is clueless as to what 12/2 wire is used for?

If I have a 20 amp breaker on the circuit and am adding an outlet in my garage, would this be the proper gauge to use?

Yes, that should the right cable. Usually 12/2(20AMP) is for outlets and 14/2 for lights (15AMP)

Does it have 2 or 3 wires?

2. If it was 12/3 then it would be 3. Good luck
