These aren't those cheap ridiculously hard to squeeze that it just frustrates you more trying to squeeze them, are they?

No, it's not hard to squeeze and it's not cheaply made. It doesn't have "smooshie", little balls or clay-like innards, but the outside is covered in a nylon like material. I guess you could compare it to a fuller, hacky sack, type. I cannot squeeze it completely flat between my fingers and palm. Kinda like a softer ball covered in soft nylon.

Which ball has the highest resistance and what's the difference between this and dual color version?

Sorry I can't help there. I purchased the black one only. Pretty high resistance
