This product is great! In my business, I make and sell hair products. I use this as a preservative for my leave in conditioners and styling cremes. Of course my ingredients include water so this is why the preservative is needed. This preservative extends the shelf life of my products for 1yr! My products do not need a 1yr shelf life extension, because they are hair products and can be used daily/weekly. But this product gives me the reassurance that I need knowing my products can maintain a long shelf life!

I bought this product as a means to keep my oil/water(aloe) lotion mixtures from deteriorating. For the last 5 years I have made lotions without any preservative as I thought my Vitamin E was enough, but this past year I first encountered some bacterial/mold/fungus growth in a couple batches. Besides using more sterile technique I now with good success am using the Optiphen Plus to curb any foreign growth. There's no affect on consistency or smell of the end product.

A little goes a long way, so the price is well worth it to have the assurance that I'm selling not only great spa products, but ones that with the use of this natural preservative will prevent gram-positive or gram-negative growth in my all natural spa and beauty products.
