Pro's and Con's, would buy again
These are amazing in terms of calorie intake. I just started keto and I wondered what I was going to do with my pasta obsession so... decided to try these. I don't know a lot of asian recipes but I know italian recipes so this is what I did: Opened the package. Put them on a strainer under water and moved them around to rinse them. The smell is kind of nasty but once you rinse them the smell is gone. Put them in a hot pan with a bit of olive oil and sprinkled some salt and black pepper on top and moved them around with a spatula to get rid of any liquid. Then used a low carb alfredo sauce with mushrooms and cooked and chopped some bacon on the side. Topped them off with Parmesan cheese. BAM! The texture takes a bit to get used since it feels rubbery but they don't really taste like anything once you cook them with other stuff. All I could taste was bacon, Alfredo sauce, and Parmesan cheese. I found it one of the most satisfying meals I've had since I started keto. I must admit I did get some intestinal cramps later that day but I am not used to having a very high in fiber diet. It is the same type of cramps I've had when eating things high in fiber, like almond meal for example. Also, I should say I ate a whole bag in one sitting so managing your intake on these might make a difference. My bowel movements that night were fantastic though, so there's that. You might want to take it slow with these when you first get them. I've seen a lot of people comment that they made them ill - you might just not have the stomach for it. All in all, I will continue to eat these in moderation and perhaps a bit more once I get used to a high fiber content without the cramps. Their nutritional value is amazing for how satisfying they are. I saw there is a "Better than pasta" brand but I have not tried it. If anyone care to commend I'd love to see a comparison.

I liked them but they didn’t like me
Made these noodles in a stir fry with all kinds of veggies and herbs and peanut sauce. It tasted amazing and the noodles really were like rice noodles I’d order in a restaurant. If I had bothered to google the listed side effects of them, I would have been fair-warned about the impending “Loose stools, bloating and flatulence”. It was a beautiful meal that I even bothered to take a photo of, but followed all too soon by subtle bloating that quickly increased in intensity, that turned uncontrollable, vile, hot farts like you wouldn’t believe. I lit candles all around my house to combat the horrendous smell I couldn’t believe was coming out of me. Then it was just really painful bowel movements for like 4+ hours. I went to bed afraid to move under the blanket holding down all the sins of the Konjac noodle. I’ve never had anything like this happen to me and am still struggling the day after. If you want to try these anyway, take my advice: Enjoy them alone, and maybe don’t buy in bulk like I did. 💁🏼♀️

better than shirataki Noodles
"Finally, a Guilt-Free Noodle I Actually Enjoy!" I’ve always been a noodle lover, it’s my go-to comfort food. But after trying to eat healthier, I had to cut back, and honestly, it was tough. Most “healthy” alternatives didn’t have the right bite or taste... they just didn’t hit the spot. Then I tried these Better Than Noodles, and everything changed. They’re light, have a clean texture, and soak up sauces really well. Whether it's a quick stir-fry or a warm noodle soup, they fit right in. I was surprised by how satisfying they are without feeling heavy afterward. They’ve made it easier for me to stick to balanced meals without giving up the dishes I love. Now, noodles are back in my life just in a better way

Practice makes perfect
The first time I tried these noodles, I followed other review advice and soaked them a while. Then I boiled them for a minute or two. I was making spaghetti, and they definitely looked good with sauce and cheese. Then I took a bite, and the rubbery texture was overwhelming. I almost wrote them off but decided to read more reviews. The second time I soaked them then boiled them for 10 minutes. Meanwhile in a hot pan I sautéed some cabbage and shrimp for a stir fry. I added the noodles and continued cooking over high heat for a couple of minutes. The difference was amazing. Really helped the texture be much more like a rice noodle common to stir fry. The only downside is the lack of taste. You really do need a sauce to flavor the noodles, so I’ll have to look for some good low carb options. Otherwise I’d say I finally figured out how to eliminate that rubbery texture. It doesn’t bother everyone, but it did bother me. Next time I have spaghetti I’ll follow the same prep process and add sauce and cheese.

Good idea but bad stomach pains. Hard to digest.
This product has a very good idea to hello those who are in low carb diets like keto. My stomach can handle Better Than Rice. But the noodles are something else. After being on keto got sometime I needed something different. I tried these noodles and my stomach pained so bad. After releasing my bowels it was discovered that the noodles were all still in one piece. My body could not digest them. Not sure why. I've had 2 packages with the same results. My cousin also tried them with the same results. I suggest trying one packet before buying them in bulk. I have 3 packets left over and are going to go to waste.

Better texture than other konjac fiber noodles!
Since I'm now "allergic" to carbs (i.e. diabetic borderzone), I have to avoid them. A ketogenic diet gives me the best results, but dang! I miss my noodles and rice! These noodles are a great alternative. I'd be in a bad place if I didn't have these! I've also eaten the Shirataki type noodles, but these are slightly less -- rubbery. Each pkg is 15oz, which they consider to be 3 servings. More like 2 servings. So, per my serving there's about 5-plus grams carbs. Fergit about gluten--none! Calories? There's more calories in a sneeze! Also the fiber in them is beneficial. Unlike the Shirataki noodles, these also have a small amount of Oat fiber, which perhaps accounts for the slightly better texture. A word of warning--JUST like the Shirataki noodles, these are stored in a briny solution, which gives off a slight odor when you tear open a pack. This has been reviewed as off-putting to certain people. However, the smell doesn't affect the flavor, and they just need a quick rinse, like the other kind. Truthfully, the only cooking these need is to be in the hot water to get warmed up. I use a wire basket and submerge them in the pot of cooking ordinary pasta (for the other members of my family).

Update: don't buy unless you want to get sick later
I'm shocked these actually taste good. I just drained and washed them with water, added to a pot with a slight bit of oil and some seasoning. Reminded me of my college days earing oodles of noodles. Great for a low carb diet where most alternatives taste bad. These are great. So, 1.26.2021 update: I got really nauseous after eating these (like extreme at about 4-5am) and at the time I didn't associate it with these noodles. I thought it was related to me having covid. Well fast forward to yesterday (1.25.21) when I had these again and again they tasted great...until 4-5am I had that watery mouth nausea and swore I was going to throw up. So I google these things and turns out, this is a common issue. Beware! I'll be throwing the rest of these away. Totally not worth the after effects.

Amazing! The oat fiber makes all the difference!
I wish I could use neon to draw attention to this delicious pasta. After trying several brands of shirataki noodles sold at the natural food markets in my area—some with tofu and some without—as well as the Miracle brand from Amazon and from ShopRite (you can find it in the natural/organic foods aisle), I stumbled on the Better Than version at an oriental market. I’ve since tried all three kinds I could find—the Noodles (the thickness of angel hair), the Pasta (like spaghetti), and the Rice—and I can’t get enough of them. They’re so much more like real pasta than the other brands! Not gelatinous, translucent, sticky, or rubbery, they come out of the inner bag golden and dense, thanks to the brilliant addition of oat fiber, which also means you’re getting 4 grams of dietary fiber per serving. The product is packaged in very little water, and the fishy aroma some find objectionable is much less noticeable. Just dry fry it, then prepare it as you would normal pasta. My only reservation is that it’s a product of China; I’m not sure I would have tried it if it wasn’t certified USDA organic. So glad I did! Three servings in a package? Bah! Dinner for one is more like it. At 15 calories a serving, who’s counting? If you’re like me—with an almost lifelong avoidance of carbs but a deep love of pasta—you have to try Better Than. It knocks all the other shirataki noodles out of the park. I'm stocking up and buying more to give to friends.

Certainly not better than noodles
Think of eating hard string and this comes close. If you can force them down, they are filling. I’m just stuck with a cupboard load.
