What is the strength (mg) per capsule? Is refrigeration required? Does being loose in bottle v/s blister wrap affect shelf life?

I wrote Jarrow about mg. The reply: "Although we quantify S.boulardii in CFU (colony forming units), the weight per each capsule is 250 mg."

Has anyone used this to treat c diff? If so, how long before you saw results? Thank you

After 2 relapses, in a dire downward spiral and a lot of research, I started taking Jarrow Formulas Saccharomyces Boulardii twice a day along with my Vancomycin. By the 3rd day I started feeling and seeing results AND for the 1st time in over 3 months of C.Diff! The cautionary note I followed which I believe was the catalyst for change: take one in the AM and one in the PM, but...make sure you take them 6 hours away from your Vancomycin so there are no counter actions. So going by the clock, Vanco at 12 noon, 6 pm Jarrow's, 12 am Vanco, and 6 am Jarrow's, fit it to your schedule using this as a guide. Otherwise, follow doctor's orders on the Vanco. I took the Vanco for 1 week with the Jarrow Formula and followed after with Jarrow's for 3 more months at twice per day. Best of luck. By the way, I now take one Jarrow's every evening, that's all, and I have been C.Diff free for over 13 months. As I am in my late 60's I will continue these as a precaution. Taking only 1 intestinal probiotic (as this), 1 digestive probiotic and an adult multi-vitamin is all I take successfully (for me).

What color are these supposed to be? Just reordered and they are tan/brownish color. I remember them being white.

They are light tan browniesh color, NOT white.

Is S. Boulardii in this product freeze dried like Florastor?

No it is not. If its not stated, it isn't.
