They get the job done. Not bad for lower cost magnetic disks...
I bought two of these for two older Linux systems I have. They're working. It was rather comical though because I'm running AlmaLinux on each of these and both systems pegged the original 2 TB disks as having errors and close to failure. I could believe that because they're probably 14 years old. So I bought the first one, got it installed in the system and reinstalled AlmaLinux. Same deal - it said the disk was ready to fail and now I don't believe it. In fact, looking online, other people are experiencing the same erroneous messages. Guess I should have looked it up online first, but I needed the storage for each of the systems anyway. These disks perform well and are just fine for older systems like I described that don't need super fast performance that you'd get out of an SSD or NVMe.

These Are BRAND NEW
Sometimes you go buy a HDD from Amazon and plug it in and fire up your handy dandy S.M.A.R.T. drive analyzer and notice that the drive has... a lot of hours. NOT THIS ONE! These bad boys are brand new from the factory floor and they only have the testing hour to prove it. I purchased and installed one on my NAS nine months ago and it has run 24/7 since then. No errors, no noise, just good ole' spinning. As with all HDD's I cannot recommend enough that everyone run a S.M.A.R.T. utility at first install to validate the drive age, hours, and surfaces. If it passes S.M.A.R.T. then it's good to go. One final note: unlike miles/kilometers on a car odometer, BRAND NEW HARD DRIVES DO NOT HAVE ZERO HOURS. All manufacturers test their drives for some period of time before they leave the factory. It is 100% normal to have several hundred hours on a brand new drive.

4TB, all good!
Brand new drive, zero-hour usage, still in factory packaging. Its fast, quiet, and doesnt run hot. Perfect for my home media server. 5 year warranty from reseller.... we'll see how it goes over the long haul. Will update review if anything changes.

Hard drive
Not what the pic looks like. But it is same model but older which tells me it could be a used drive. I did get one warning from my drivedx monitor stating reloaded sector count. Which could be an issue later on. The drive is working so far as it should. The price was right. Packed professionally

Great Data Storage Drive
This product performs fast and very well for older style technology. Provides an economical way to store a lot of data. The drive was recognized immediately by Operating System. Remember that drive needs to be Initialized by your operating system before it can be formatted. Suggest you initialize as GPT drive since this will result in one large 4 TB drive. If you initialize it as MBR, the drive will be split into two partitions of 2 TB each (max size for MBR)

Great Price Per GB
It has a lot of storage capacity at a great price. Probably best for storing archival data that you don't need to access too frequently. Like all HDD's it is a bit noisy and slow to respond compared to SSD's.

Very Old Model - No Factory Warranty
My drive came with 208 lifetime hours. It could be new, but this is much higher than I would like to see. The larger problem is that the Constellation ES.3 was last revised as of 2016. This likely means that the factory warranty is expired just due to age. It is also not disclosed that these items were sold in bulk and are not retail (see image). NOTE: THESE HAVE NO FACTORY WARRANTY.
