This is really a good chair. A good size for hobby/craft/utility work (a lot of chairs in that size are smaller, not as padded. Office chairs can be large, with arm rests). The padding seems like memory foam. It feels hard at first, but then sinks and conforms. The highest seat level is pretty high. At that height, it would benefit from one of those rings around the base (on top of the five legs) so your feet can rest on that. The back is comfortable, and can be adjusted about 1-1/2" fwd/back (laterally, not reclining).

This chair is better than what the big box office supply stores sell at the same price range. I researched for a week before making my decision & it is a great bargain. It was packaged well & my husband put it together very quickly. I am using it in my kitchen where my laptop is & I sit for hours working everyday. Since it is in the kitchen, and I have a 1 year old grand-daughter, I used several coatings of Scotch-Guard to protect the fabric. The fabric is quality & attached expertly. I needed lumbar support & not only does it do a good job with that but it forces me, gently, to sit up straight, which is how we all need to sit. The back also pivots backwards a bit which I love. The seat is very comfortable & does not cut off my circulation at the thighs, as my old chair did, and that is another plus. The lowest setting does well for my table. The rollers are very smooth and do not drag on my floor. I really cannot believe it is priced so low & recommended it already to a few people. So that others may ask I will say that my weight fluctuates between 135 - 142:)

I received today the replacement for the one that arrived damaged yesterday. Yesterday's box was rather beat up and one of the parts was cracked; fortunately the Prime driver patiently allowed me to open and inspect it. I didn't have much hope for the replacement because there is no padding in the box whatsoever and the box had a few gauges. However, it was in perfect condition. The instructions were not very clear, but it was easy enough to assemble with only a screwdriver for the 4 screws (I bought the armless version). Comfort level initially was very good, but after a few hours, the back of my upper legs were feeling the strain, so I'll use it with a small pillow if I will be sitting for awhile. I think this could be due to the seat length. While the chair back doesn't recline, it does have some give which helps but a reclining feature would be preferable. The fabric was just as expected and goes well in my room. The casters slide very well, perhaps well enough to use on carpeting that doesn't have a deep pile but I have high end vinyl planks. I am replacing them for a set that will protect hardwood and vinyl plank flooring. All in all, a nice chair and with a few changes, it could be a great chair.

8 years ago I Googled “best sewing chair” this chair was rated #1 so I bought it. It was been an amazing chair for the last 8 years! I have used it in my sewing area. It is very comfortable to sit in & sew for hours. I adjusted my ironing board so that I can move between my sewing machine & my ironing board without getting up! I changed out the wheels that came with the chair for rollerblade wheels when I started sewing in a room with tile floors. I love how the rollerblade wheels move with ease across any flooring! Sadly a cross country move broke one of the wheels off & I need a new chair. Since becoming handicapped 18 months ago it is now the chair I sit in at my kitchen table to eat in. I love how I can easily wheel over to the silverware drawer to get a fork when needed😊

I'm a plus size person. I cannot tell you how wonderfully comfortable. This chair is very stable. Well made excellent quality. Great price too

5 stars from a tall, fat guy who could never get comfortable before! The last "task chair" I bought on Amazon was a perfectly good item, except that the arms were too close together so I could not fit my fat backside (or my back fatside, if you prefer). "So just remove the arms" I hear you snidely suggesting in a tone of contempt you reserve for unhelpful product reviewers who you think should just keep their opinions to themselves. Well, I tried taking off the arms, and guess what? The back fell off, so that other chair is now a stool with wheels. Getting back to THIS great little chair, my wife (who weighs about half what I do) was also having discomfort problems with her desk chair, so she "borrowed" this one from me and geuss what? She's keeping it, so now I get to buy another one and assemble it. Summary: WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS CHAIR: 1) fast & easy to assemble. No fingers or toes were lost during the assembly of this chair. 2) So comfortable I sat in it for hours without noticing that I do not have a life. 3) Captain and the sackboys report no pain or numbness below decks.

These chairs are great! Comfortable, easy to assemble, nice to look at, and easy to clean. I purchased this to replace the same one that I bought 14 years ago! I rolled around the kitchen while cooking after I had knee surgeries. The lift is just enough so that I could work at the kitchen counter, and to eat I just lowered it to fit my kitchen table..Even after recovery I liked it so much that I continued to use it to this day when I just received the new one.The original chair was inexpensive, but it lasted and lasted. I sat on it everyday to eat, plan meals, so I didn't have to stand while stirring things on the stove, etc. Finally the big plastic screw that holds the back onto the seat would not tighten and the back flopped, but I am heavy and frequently leaned back, so that wasn't the chair's fault. Just a reminder: with constant use and rolling about, the screws that hold it together come loose, so just tighten them once in a while..

Bought this chair to pair with an older model we’ve had for some time. Didn’t want to spend a fortune and based on reviews, picked this manufacturer. So easy to put together, instructions are clear and simple and chair looks good and performs well. We use mostly around our table as we do puzzles....easy to roll and comfy to sit on. Great!

For years now I have been trying to find a chair that I could make it through the day on. I am not quite 5' tall and have short legs for my height, so trying to find a chair that my feet touch the ground has been a challenge. This one works for me, it also has good lumbar support. For a taller person it might be too low, but for me it's perfect.

I'm about to order two more, for my teenagers. The seat cushion is firm, and the sides bump up weirdly, but I don't really feel it when I'm sitting. I find it comfy. The back support is good, and can be adjusted somewhat for depth. It's not a chair for a large person, though. I'm 5'2" and not very heavy, and it works well for me. It was super easy to assemble. And it really is fun to spin on!
