Has anyone who bought this had the joint stick? I put it together, only hand tightened it and now it won't come apart.

I have not had that problem, but it did not take much to warp the stick about 2 inches from the tip

It took me 5 times to get the stick where I can actually be able to change the tip, as it was advertised. However, I wouldn't purchase. The top shaft became warped after using for only 4 games. The stick is junk, not worth the money.
