AMAZING PRODUCTS, WORTH EVERY PENNY
I have a 20 yr old Lodge Cast Iron skillet. It has been used & abused by 10 children who never completely cleaned off food particles, never seasoned it properly and had soaked it in the sink with soap, so I had rust too. I have done the salt bath on the stove to get off the food, used SOS pads and nothing worked to clean my skillet. I also seasoned it with the food stuck on and the skillet ended up being a disaster. I was ready to throw it out & buy a new one. I came across these 3 items on Amazon to clean, scour and oil my skillet. Oh, but it is expensive, I thought. Well, a GOOD cast iron skillet is expensive too. So I thought I would give it a try. What did I have to lose, I was going to throw it out anyway. Oh my gosh!!! I cleaned it with the soap with a chain mail scrubber. Not too impressed with the cleaning. Next, I used the salt, hot water (a lil bit) and that chain mail scrubber. I have arthritic hands so I can't use a lot of pressure scrubbing. I was AMAZED at how clean the skillet got. I thoroughly rinsed it and couldn't believe there was NOTHING left on the skillet, not even the rust! I dried it completely and again was SHOCKED that I didn't have any black or brown residue left on the towel from drying. Then, I used the oil, just a bit like it says and spread it with a paper towel all over the pan, inside and out. I let that soak in while sitting it on a paper towel. It sat overnight. In the morning, my skillet looked brand, spanking new!!! No, I haven't cooked with it yet; but I will update when I do. All the other times I had "seasoned" my skillet, food would get stuck everywhere on it. So I am looking forward to seeing if this oil actually keeps the food from sticking.

Excellent Product and Value!
These have worked wonders in restoring my cast iron pan, and keeping it healthy looking. The Salt scrub is fantastic, and the soap works well without harming the coating. The oil applied afterwards smells great and is food safe! I've also used it to oil my wooden-cutting board. This was an excellent purchase and Im very happy with these!

Works like a charm!
This is my second set of this product. It's easy to use: scrub first, soap and then the oil. I have my great grandma's cast iron pans and have tried a few different ways to clean them in the past, but prefer these products. I even bring them camping for fire pit cooking and the clean up is so easy.

Good product
The soap was excellent, however you could easily use kosher salt to scrub clean. Also, while the oil works wonderfully, it has the same herbal scent as the soap. I like the smell for the soap, but the oil leaves a bit of a flavour on food, which I'm not a fan of. I would definitely buy the soap again, but not the salt or the oil.

Perfect Oil To Coat after a proper Seasoning
I only used the Oil after i reseasoned two cast iron skillets in the Oven as this Oil u can not use it for a oven 500F bake, well u could if u really want to smoke your house out and the neighbors too... So Don't use it as such. What i did was use Crisco Vegetable fat or lard whatever u want to call it but the Vegetable one. I cleaned the skillets before hand with Corurse Sea Salt and a Chain Mesh and also used a scotch bright scrub pad only on the cooking area of the skillets. This brought it down to the Cast Bare Grey colour which it was close to being anyways except i had oiled the skillets before storage with extra virgin olive oil which of course would be rancid or no good, so i decided to reseason them. I put 2 coats of Crisco on the the bigger Skillet 1 at a time after an hr of baking and cooling for 45 min to apply 2nd coat and the 1 Coat was only needed for the smaller Skillet, remember to do it properly thin coats on a warmed up cast iron on low or medium heat make sure to get rid of any excess oil u just need a thin coat, then straight into the 500F Oven.. upside down for 1 hr turn off the oven, then let cool for 45 in the oven. so u then can use Oven Mitts to take it out and Do it all again. Sometimes u need 3 or 4 coats to get what you want done. But doing what i did 1 or 2 depends on ur cast iron how much wear it has had. Now after all said and Done i applied a small coat of this Cast Iron Oil product and yes rub it in as to looking dry, never leave it wet oil looking, make it look Dry and it still will look wet but it is not as u rubbed it in and let a thin very thin coat on. I like the fact that a proper season with Crisco Vegetable Lard grease does not go Rancid. Then using this oil as well.as it does not go rancid either is a double layer of protection. Now when i go to use these Skillets all i have to do is Clean them up using the Soap in this Kit and Scrub Salt as well if needed and apply this Oil in a thin coat Rubbed in and i be good for years, unless i do not Cook Right and have to do a proper seasoning again. Most Cast Iron is used on Medium Heat as this is all that is needed for Cast Iron, if u cook on High ur asking for alot of work each time. If you have a Dutch Oven it can go to 500F to 600F depending on which you bought so these can cook ok High, but many people do not do this as its best to slow cook on medium for stews and soup, even a Roast in it put in the Oven or a Fire Coals is around 350F to 400F
