My step son uses this along with his GoPro. He uses this every day on the beaches of Brazil. It is very sensitive to scratches so great care when using is very important. This is his second one and he really likes the quality. keeping it clean is super easy with a gentle terry cloth or microfiber. Water beads off of it very easily and this is important for those partial submerged shots.

This underwater dome case for GoPro works like a charm. It allows you to control much more easily the line division between what's above and below the water. This is virtually impossible to do with the bare GoPro in any practical situation. All the focus properties from the camera work perfectly and the color, the sharpness, and the definition of the final image are not affected. Installing the cover and assembling the handles is a bit cumbersome at first, but it gets pretty easy after you get it done a couple of times. Also, the fact that you can use a great variety of existing filters like CPL, and NDs underwater is great. The majority of those filters affect the camera's water-sealing and do not allow you to submerge it with the filters attached. Now, with the dome, you can! I wish there were perforations (not on the dome itself, of course) or cold shoe mounts that allowed you to attach other accessories to it like an underwater lighting unit. I found this to be one of the best additions to my GoPro collection of accessories and I wish I had it before.

I've owned similar water housing to get that above water/below water look with various GoPro models over the years. This particular unit I took a risk on with some mixed views and it destroyed my GoPro 13 using it the 2nd time. No GoPro for the remainder of our Hawaii trip. For more context, before use I inspected the port & the seal for debris (like sand etc) and loaded anti fog strips in the hotel room ahead of any beach environment where an accident could occur with debris contaminating the seal. During my second session, 10 minutes into diving I saw excessive fog in the port but the door locking mechanism was perfectly shut. Returning to shore I saw water inside my battery port because I did not switch out my battery cover which gives access to the USB. If you attempt the housing, always keep your waterproof door on despite this housing should be waterproof. My best guess compared to other housings I have is the durability of the o-ring gasket that seals the rear door to this unit isn't thick enough so with one long hot day on the water (in the sun) the material may have taken compression set and lost its effectiveness? It only took depths of 10-15 feet to find the weak link in the design. Buy a better rated unit or don't risk it. I sent a message through amazon return to the manufacture and after many days with no response I am moving on and passing on this review. Don't risk $300+ camera on cheap water housing, I think QC and quality is questionable unit to unit.

En la primera usada le entró agua sin sumergirla mucho, esto afecta las fotografías pues las gotas se ven en la imagen. Por eso la calificación. El el segundo uso la dejé en el piso del bote 5 minutos y cuando me di cuenta ya tenia bastantes rayones, si la compran, cuídenla más que su cerveza.

It leaked. Where's the use in that?

i recently brought this product for my diving trip to Indonesia. But after i watch the videos that i recorded with this, it's totally suck. I can't use single video clip which i recorded with this. no matter how much i clean the dome there were dust patches in every video. And the other thing is go pro front side reflection from the dome is there, in every single clip. totally waste of money. And i'm so upset, because i can't use single video clip. Very poor quality product. not recommend to anyone.
