great product
great product! I ordered them online and became skeptical about their sturdiness when I first received them but after going through a tough winter they performed as advertised. I bought a good number in different sizes to protect shrubs close to my house and had no trouble with snow that I raked from my roof that fell on them. Where you live is probably an important consideration. I am an hour north of NYC and have read some reviews from people in norther New England that were disappointed. I assume their winter was just too harsh. I agree with 1 comment that the loops for the stakes can break if you hammer them in too hard, but after breaking one I adjusted, plus it was easy to replace a broken loop with a nylon cable tie, so no big deal.

NOT a freeze protection device
Pops open very well and seems to be well constructed. It works well for to provide cover for a small-medium size plant. I have it over a small lemon tree. It is porous material and will allow rain and some sunshine to penetrate to the plant, but that also allows freezing air to circulate. So if one is seeking freeze protection, one will need to add a blanket, tarp or both over the top. In that configuration, it does nicely keep the plant branches protected from being bent/broken.

The right idea, but not quite there yet...
While it is a substantial and sturdy plant cover, it ultimately disappoints. First of all, it says it comes with stakes (it even says so on the label attached to the product!), but no stakes are included, so prepare to provide your own. Not a huge expense, but why say something is included when it isn't? It was very simple to set up and appeared well-made. However, despite being well-staked, it blew down the street on the first windy day. I retrieved it, but it blew away again a few days later, never to be found. While I certainly can't blame the manufacturers for the weather, it isn't much good if it blows away!

Great product. Wish the ties were a little longer.
Great protection for shrubs and much nicer looking that the burlap on wood frame that I fashioned last year. And it should be easy to collapse and store for next year. The hardest part of the installation was tying the inside ties to the fiberglass rods due to height of the shrub cover I bought and the short length of the ties. My arthritic fingers didn't help matters. But I wish the manufacturer had made each tie an inch longer. Would have cost very little for the additional material, but assembly would have been much, much easier.

Fantastic product!!
Purchased 3 and all 3 of my shrubs and plants made it through a tough winter with no broken branches. We average 120" of snow in upstate NY and these covers work great! They stayed in place and protected or plants, we are very pleased.

Excellant Winter Protection
This seems to be working well. I would have given it 5 stars if the stakes were aluminum. But perhaps the plastic stakes will last. It was easy to unpack, easy to setup, and came in a very large box. I am using these for young rhododendrons, so I bought them a size or two larger. They work fine.

Nuvue winter plant cover
Excellent product! Super sturdy, fits easily over my peony plants that are in a wire support. Nothing else worked. We have tons of wind and they held tight with all four stakes in. I only bought two for the two peonies, but I will purchase more in other sizes. I tied the stake bag inside the tent and now easy to find....great that they fold up flat since I bought to use for our tough spring freezes and hail...very happy.

Broken rod
I liked it for two weeks, but this morning when I went out to remove it because of the beautiful weather, the main rod going up to the top was broken. Very disappointed in that and not sure how to fix it. So it is collapsed and won't remain it's tent shape.

These little "tents" for my shrubs took just a few minutes to set up and they've been holding up well in the snow so far. SO much easier than trying to wrap my shrubs in burlap or fleece. It makes them more visible, too, so less chance of running into them or over them.

Very easy to assemble & set up. Covered three small shrubs to protect from rabbit damage.

These covers safely protect tender plants/shrubs/trees. I have two covering small Japanese maples, and they let the rain in and a bit of light, but not the harsh wind. Also, protect the tender branches from freezing. I have a taller Japanese Maple that I half-heartedly wrapped since I could not find the Nuvue 52" Winter Shrub Cover. We will soon see if it made it through the winter.
