Does dual extended screen work with HP elitebook?

This does not support extended screen just mirror display....

One wide monitor with one dp female port on it: will this product allow me to increase the number of dp devices that could connect to this monitor?

No unfortunately this is not a two device, meaning that allows one device to transmit to 4 other monsters. It does allow each monitor to work independently. Also this does not support hi deb or 4k. Only up to 1920 by 1080

will this work to extend 4 monitor display from my HP mini prodesk processor?

Mirror it, yes. Extend it to 4 monitors is totally up to the graphics board in the HP Mini. The HP EliteDesk 800 G4's with Intel graphics we have will only extend up to 3 monitors. I had to get a HP Z2 Mini G4 Workstation with NVIDIA® Quadro® P600 graphics in order to do an extended 4 monitor display. I would call HP support on your specific Mini to see what it can do. If the graphics board won't support it then there is no external device that can fix it.

Isn't there an hdmi version of this thing?
