Plugged it in and powered on the PC. Windows 10 found it and automagically installed an appropriate driver, I was then able to view a stream of my old video camera via FireWire in VLC.

The best you can get at this price range
Taken it to convert all my old JVC camcorder DV tapes Its simple plug and play no issues whatsoever....no dropped frames or hang issues. Comes with a suitable DV firewire cable for connection.

Passade inte i mon dator, fel sorts low profile-hållare för kortet
Kortet är ok men eftersom säljaren skickade mig fel sorts PCIE low profile-hållare för kortet så passade det inte i min dator (en Lenovo Thinkcentre). Hålen för portarna satt för långt upp så kortet kunde inte sättas fast i datorn. Jag fick därför göra en egen lösning på det (med hjälp av en plastbit som fick fungera som hållare istället, inte helt optimal...). Säljaren säger att de inte kan skicka mig en annan hållare...

Worked as I had hoped!!
Took a chance based on reviews and product worked as I hoped it would. Came in incorrect box and seemed to be a generic firewire PCI card. I installed it and it was recognized by my desktop immediately when I booted up. I had to install a legacy driver for it to work with my Windows 10 OS. So far it has worked without any issues at all.
