Resolve does come in a spray container w/ the nozzle affixed so the can can be positioned in an inverted position. That way, you can spray downward. However, we've used the spray bottle as pictured w/ no problem getting stuff on the walls. Hope this helps.

I just removed an oil tank from my basement. Will this remove oil stains from my carpet ?

It'll help. My wife uses it on my work clothes. You can use an old school remedy as well which is Coca Cola, but do not use hot water which will cause the oil to spread faster, plus you may need to replace the carpet padding underneath to get rid of the smell quicker and the oil quit a bit harder to get out of it..

Does it work on nail polish? If its a few weeks old

I really don't know. I would try it and if not, use nail polish remover.

Will it work for like old drink stains in the carpet ?

I have had dubious luck with using it for old drink stains. Using it in combination with "standard carpet cleaning techniques" (moisten carpet, saturate with detergent, use brush/towel over affected area, rinse, dry) has yielded progress but not perfectly. Using with a carpet cleaner does work better...

What I do is spray a spot on the carpet and wait a few minutes with a paper towel placed lightly over it..then after 5min I take my shoe and press down the paper towel to lift the wetness up. Usually works great..if not repeat
