Thick warm socks - excellent for keeping feet warm in cold water fishing waders
I got six pair of sox to use for fishing in Colorado mountain lakes and streams. These sox are thick and warm and perfect for keeping your feet warm in a rubber chest wader boot. I wear size 8 shoes and bought my sox size accordingly. These fit into my size eight hiking shoes in addition to the larger looser wading boots. In 39 F weather and in the cold water, my feet never felt cold. I had to take them off when the temp got to 70 F. I have not yet observed any signs of deterioration or of the knitting falling apart. My wife is already wearing them around the air conditioned house just have warm feet. I would buy them again but six pair looks like they will last a while.

EnerWear Sock review 4+ years later - These are great socks
A bit over 4 years ago (November 2018) I bought two ten-packs of these EnerWear socks black for 14.99 and jean blue for 15.99. This morning I realized that a few pairs had small holes starting to form and that they needed to be replaced. These socks have been daily wear for me over the last 4 years, with the rare exception of "fun" socks. These have lasted great, they were comfortable and functional. I feel like I got my money's worth, and I just ordered another two sets for 19.99 (I guess inflation has also hit socks). One small complaint, I do wish that they still had the "jean blue" color. Overall I am leaving a 5 star rating.

Very comfortable socks.
Nice and cushioned and fit amazingly well. I have smaller feet (7.5D), and these fit as well, or better, than any socks I've ever had. If you have somewhat bigger feet, you'll probably want to get the next size up.

A sock by any other name
This is not the first time I've ordered Enerwear socks, so that should say something. The first batch I bought turned out to be the thickest, best athletic socks I've ever bought, including much more expensive premium brands like Nike and Adidas. And once I washed them the first time, they actually got better. So, I bought more. This new batch is different. Not worse, just different. The first thing I noticed right away was that they didn't have the word Enerwear woven into the foot like the first batch. Instead, they had the word(?) Yock woven in. What is Yock? It's not like Enerwear was a real word either, but I kind of got the theme. Yock could be anything. Or nothing. I didn't know what to make of it; different manufacturer? The company got sold? Vandals got to the looms? Who knows? I've spent many weekends trying not to Yock on my feet, but it's not that bad. The point is, the weave is different, but still good. They still wash up just great. And I can still recommend them very highly. If you like thin, barely-there athletic socks for foot-feel, these aren't going to be great for you. But if you want athletic socks that are also great, comfortable everyday socks that cushion your foot and stay fluffy, these are your socks.

Best socks I've ever owned!!!!
These are hands down the best socks I've ever bought. I bought two 10 packs of them 2 years ago and are just writing a review now. These socks are a bit thicker than most other crew socks but I wouldnt say they are a fall/winter only sock, they will keep your feet warm but won't over heat you in spring and summer. The extra thickness definitely adds to the durability. Before I purchased these I would go through hanes, fruit of the loom, and other brand socks about every 3-6 months because they would thin out and get holes in the or fray... These socks 2 years later have held up nicely. They're just now starting to thin but I haven't torn, ripped, or over stretched them. I'm buying more of them now but I highly recommend these if you want a nice strong comfortable sock that's great to use all year round and has great longevity. 10/10!
