W4 Wagon Review for three kids
This summer will be two years since we had our wonderfold W4 Luxe wagon. Honestly, we love it! What possessed me to buy this giant? Curiosity to see what the fuss is all about because as you probably hear Wonderfold is often called the diesel wonder wagon of the stroller wagons. I didn’t expect Wonderfold W4 to exceed my expectations, but honestly if you have multiple kids spending entire days outside Wonderfold is insanely practical! Obviously, not all aspects of it are amazing because you probably already know this stroller wagon is huge and heavy. I will say: the WonderFold Wagon is not for everyone. Let’s take a closer look at all pros and cons of Wonderfold wagon stroller and most importantly: whether there are cheaper or smaller alternatives to Wonderfold. What is the difference between Wonderfold W4 Elite and Luxe? Wonderfold sells three options of W4 – Original, Elite and Luxe. W4 Original: is the most basic wagon with raised seats. It might be attractive to get it as it’s the cheapest one, but the canopy doesn’t have an adjustable height and the parental bar isn’t adjustable either. Honestly, just for the lack of these two features, I’d go for an upgraded model. W4 Elite: a step up from the original one with an adjustable canopy, adjustable parental bar, reclining seats, and zippered panels. The only difference between W4 Elite and W4 Luxe: slightly larger wheels, leather handlebar and magnetic harnesses. Apart from the wheels, it’s honestly all gimmicks, so whether you want to pay an extra $200 for these features it’s up to you. I got the Luxe only because there was a sale on those models and there was no price difference. Wonderfold can drive everywhere. The soft rubber allows to for a comfortable ride compared to the hard plastic wheels on those standard pull wagons. It turns on grass, city streets, sidewalks, and it’s all easy to maneuver considering the size. Underlining considering the size, because let’s be real: it doesn’t maneuver as well as a single stroller or a twin double stroller. It’s not Wonderfold’s fault, it’s simply not possible. Does it drive on sand? Depends. It’s not easy, but it’s wasn’t unbearably hard – you will get there I will say. I think people complaining that their strollers or wagons don’t drive smoothly on sand need to get a perspective because not even all cars can get through the beach. The brake is easy to engage, but not something you’ll accidentally press when walking. It isn’t too easy to deactivate, but easily enough done with one foot. The canopy can be pulled from one side to another depending on the sun. It’s a small thing but extremely useful. It can be folded away and stored using fabric holders on the sides of the storage bit and a strap that buttons onto the side of the frame. Storage Wonderfold is built for storage! In a normal stroller, you only have a basket underneath, but various models require you to lose the basket when you put a second seat. There are pockets everywhere, two pouches on both sides that can fit my purse, an extra bag for a diaper bag, storage underneath the seats and pockets for kid’s cups and snacks. Do remember that while you might be able to store a giant cooler or bag underneath the seat it will limit the exits and you might have to lift your kids to help them exit. Seats The biggest pro of Wonderfold is that the whole thing gives the kids a 360 view and is tall enough for the kids to stand/sit and safely see those 4ft tall exhibits and fences at zoo, museums. It’s not possible to do in other wagons. The seats are attached via big strong clips to the top bar frame. They are good and comfortable and let the kids sit in their natural sitting position without being scrunched up. The seats can recline by pulling the clip further away (there’s no indication of where to lock the seats in to get them to recline, so you’re guessing. It is a tight fit for the kiddos. My twin daughters are now 20 months old and their big sister is 4 years old, and they’re very skinny and I still wish they had more arm space between them. Weight & Size How heavy is the Wonderfold wagon W4 Luxe? That’s the biggest drawback of W4 it’s extremely heavy. The videos of this product all show what look like real lifts of the wagon from pretty small moms, but it’s not happening. I can load this wagon up in our SUV myself, but you might need help with lifting. Does the Wonderfold W4 fit through doorways? It fits fine through most American doorways because it’s not wider than those double jogging strollers. Would it fit in Europe? Nope, nowhere. The biggest con is the size because it might not fit in every car. You need a very large SUV and even in cars like a popular family van Toyota Sienna is takes the whole truck and you’ll need to fold the bar. Wonderfold Wagon Stroller: Verdict Do I think it’s a great stroller wagon? Absolutely, I truly understand what the fuss is about. If you like to bring the whole house and food for 10 days like I see many parents like to do, this is the wagon for you! The width and length of this thing are the same sizes as one of those jogger strollers, so you won’t have to sacrifice anything by getting it. Is it too much for short escapades? I think so unless you’re a mom of 4 under 3, but honestly, you can still manage without it. For all-day events, it’s pretty handy, as long as you’re not heading to Disney World (they have a no wagon policy). Overall, I would highly recommend!

Amazing product hands down
I genuinely have zero complaints. This is a huge upgrade from my previous wagon—which I already thought was excellent. This one is on another level. It’s stylish, incredibly durable, and thoughtfully designed with efficient storage and a wide range of useful accessories. As a family, we take trips that involve a lot of walking with our kids, and this wagon is going to make a noticeable difference. It eliminates so much of the usual hassle and effort. I’m honestly impressed. It’s absolutely worth the price. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for—if you want the best, this is it.

Wonderful wonderfold
Wonderful wonderfold. Great for containing my 3 children (5months-4). The only negatives I'd say are having a heavy kid out at the front makes it difficult to steer and the wagon is heavy and difficult to load in my van. I love having it set up in the garage and ready to go. I like how tall it is to keep my kids away from unknown dogs. I love the height adjustable handle for pushing. I love putting my baby down for a nap in it like a playpen at the park. I like all the different pockets for storage. It's extremely sturdy and I always get compliments on it when out and about. It's easy to push and extremely functional for our family.

Heavy but multipurpose
So convenient for carrying kids. We also went to a park for Easter and the wagon came in handy for the long walk from car to the park. It’s heavy for a mama but when you use it it’s worth it. Great quality and very durable.

Fits the family.
I waited until after my first big use (a 5 hour zoo trip) to write this review because it gave me the full usage of this big ol wagon. First, I had my husband put it together but it was no issue for him albeit he is a super handy fellow. Without his help or the instructions I managed to figure out how to unfold it and re assemble the necessary bits and fold it back up while removing the necessary bits to fold. You have to remove the floor and the canopy when folding it up. Not a huge deal, it comes apart and goes together to simply. When you get it folded up and go to load it... This this is HEAVY. I consider myself a pretty strong girl (I'm an EMT so I have to lifts cots with patients regularly) and this is heavy and super awkward to lift. I am only 5'4" on a good day so loading it into the back of my caravan is for sure an interesting experience. I managed just fine but it is a TIGHT FIT in the back of that baby and had to readjust it a few times to get it to let my hatch close by itself. Unloading was just as awkward with my height but as mentioned before it goes together fairly easily and you can do it pretty quickly even being inexperienced with it. Now, you can see in the picture this this is a whole tank. It holds 4 of my kiddos 8yo 5yo 3yo 1yo with ease. They love it. Absolutely love everything about it. But, when they are all in it...... It's so hard to steer without getting in a full workout. It is already hard to push across grass, stone, and up a ramp just the 1 little guy in it but with all of them, it's simply exhausting. Maybe I'll get use to it. 🤷🏻♀️ At the zoo we went in and out of plenty of buildings, elevators, and even family bathrooms and it was not a problem to fit except 1 single door, we had to open the 2nd double door to get it. The kids said it was comfortable and with the 1yo being a 1 yo it was nice to be able to move the seats back a bit and let him have a portable play pen while the big kids ran around. While we were at the zoo I saw a kenze (spelling is wrong I'm sure) wagon and it looked honestly....nicer. it was a bit smaller but it came with a bar for snacks and cups which would have been awesome, and it looked like it pushes much easier. I am not disappointed with my purchase but I wish it was lighter, easier to push across different terrain, and came with a few more helpful accessories for the price.

A Spacious and Stylish Wagon for All Your Needs
I couldn't be happier with my choice. This wagon has quickly become an indispensable part of our daily routine. It's not just a means of transportation; it's a source of joy, convenience, and compliments from everyone who sees it. First and foremost, the spaciousness of this wagon is truly impressive. My son has ample room to sit comfortably, play with his toys, and even stretch out during longer rides. I appreciate the thoughtful design that allows him to enjoy the journey without feeling cramped or restricted. This wagon is perfect for family outings to the park, farmers' markets, or even just a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. Additionally, the craftsmanship and attention to detail are exceptional. The wagon's construction is solid, ensuring its durability even after regular use. The wheels glide smoothly, offering a comfortable ride for both the passenger and the person pulling the wagon. The sturdy handle gives me confidence that it will withstand the test of time. One of the most delightful aspects of this wagon is the constant stream of compliments we receive. People often stop to admire its design and comment on how spacious and inviting it appears. It's a conversation starter wherever we go, making our outdoor adventures even more memorable. Not only is this wagon practical, but it's also aesthetically pleasing. Its sleek design, coupled with the high-quality materials, gives it a timeless appeal. The vibrant color options available are a welcomed bonus, allowing us to personalize our wagon and make it stand out from the rest.

Just get it. Yes it's pricey, do it anyway. You deserve nice things.
I love this wagon. As a person with several children (6 to be exact), I have been through a few strollers and child moving devices. I research them the way some people research vehicles before they purchase them. I read online, I ask other owners, and I always ans pretty much only read negative reviews. This thing is the real deal. I was a little apprehensive because it is a very pricey item, but it has been worth every dime I spent on it. It's basically a pack'n'play on wheels, with seats and a sun shade. It's sturdy, it rolls smoothly, it pushes easily and has a very solid build. My 13 year old often will push it for me and he has no trouble doing so. He also folds and unfolds it for me, puts the seats in and sets up the sun shade. It's easy to push and easy to use. Is it heavy? Yes, but it's a quality heavy. It's heavy because it is made with thick metal instead of the flimsy garbage some stroller companies and other wagons use and it can hold up to 300 pounds! It has to be heavy to support heavy! The ride is incredibly smooth, the larger tires make the push so much less work. We live in an area that is very hilly. Not little, cute hills, but Ozark Mountain, give you a heart attack hills, and this thing handles them like a boss. My kids are happy riding in it and when I'm doing something and the baby needs a nap it doubles as a travel bed for us. I am so glad I spent the money to purchase this. Do yourself a favor and just get it.

Good but not 100%sure yet... will update in a month
Feb 2024: Easy to put together. I went from the original W4 (got one of the first ones when it wasn't popular- orange)and now to luxe w4 ( my other got stollen) and it's much much heavier but also much much nicer and still great for what I need. I live in the middle of a steep hill and push 4 kids up and down twice a day every weekday and it's still good. A couple of changes I don't like... the folding latch is now plastic instead of strap and metal( just seems more easily damaged), I can't find the smaller wheels from the original to purchase for summer ( love the all terrain idea for snow but the smaller wheels from original worked in snow too for years- also that's what makes it heavier which i don't need in the busier summer). The adjustable handle bar is a great upgrade, and there's so many more pockets maybe too many now. The seats recline now and have the option of just having one seatbelt in the middle which i like until I try to fold it. I used to fold my original with the seats easily but it's harder with new reclining seats... maybe just needs time to loosen... I also can't find a w4 clear rain cover... they really need to make that... this thing with the price and size is for people who will use walking around the community all the time in all weather and at least a rain cover is very very necessary.

Worth every penny…
Absolutely amazing! We love that we can fit both kids in it along with all the stuff kids come with! Super smooth ride. Instead of buying a double stroller, we now have enough room for more than two children ! :) highly recommend for a long lasting product!

I love my Wonderfold Wagon!
I love this wagon for my three kids! It’s quite easy to assemble, but takes a few minutes. However, once it is all set up, it is a wonderful wagon to use at the zoo, the Carnival or anywhere you need to push your little ones.

So worth the $$$
We absolutely love this wagon! It’s amazing for both kids with or without friends, handles off-road, and gravel well. It’s fairly heavy and is hard to push in sand or deep loose gravel but 100% recommend! The kids love it and it’s such a life saver! When my youngest was little we used the baby hack for one of the seats so he could be even more reclined and it worked perfectly! It also works great as a playpen on the god and we love that you can roll down and block the mesh when it’s windy! This is the gift every mom needs! If I had a bigger car I would be taking this for grocery shopping as well! Everyone is harnessed in and they love being in there! Also very smooth to jog with
