This WORKS!
If you have neck/trapezoid /back/shoulder problems I cannot recommend this enough! I know it is pricey, but it works!! I had a frozen shoulder 3 plus years ago, and still to this day can have my trap area literally click and lock up when I overwork myself. This device has saved me!! Whenever I get sore , which is often, this breaks up the knots in the tissues and immediately puts me back on track without further damage accumulating. At first it hurts. It is very HEAVY and dense, but this is also why I think it works as effectively as it does. It is Made super well and the trigger points dig deep in to your tissues. If it hurts too much at first, lay on your bed and use it and it will softe. It up but be effective. I’m telling you after you do use it, it’s a game changer! I always feels like a new person put back together again. Over time the “hurt” becomes a hurts so good type of feel and it isn’t as intense. So keep at it, if you found it too much at first. I just breathed through it but then after a few minutes when I stood up I realized how much better I felt! I even had lower back pain the other day from leaning over my sink while bathing multiple pets, I used it mostly where you are suppose to at the top part of my neck and back and the. rearranged it and also got in some areas on my lower back. While it isn’t designed for that it still worked! All fascia is connected too, but it took care of and saved me from rushing off to the chiropractor! It is worth its weight in gold in saving you from chiropractor appointments, and a whole lot of pain!!

Unexpected Gem
Fantastic, superb, mind-blowing, invigorating, enlivening, TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE! To try to describe why isn't easy, but it wakes things up and brings them on board, it allows me to put the most remarkable kind of shiatsu pressure on spots and at angles that are worth dozens of shiatsu sessions to be able to do myself, whenever I feel like it. I have lots of devices, they each do different things. I only need this to do what it does - which is something absolutely superb and wonderful. There seem to be knock-offs, I would order them to try but the time and energy to return them makes the experiment pointless. I just know that this thing is primo, non plus ultra, the level I call "most amazing". Better than going to a fancy restaurant including wine. Subjectively, this is a really, really fantastic experience. I'm surprised such things are available - I mean the experience - at this price. By the way, you'll have to experiment. And mileage may vary - this device is perfect for some things I was trying to do but couldn't figure out how to do at the right angle with the right pressure. I don't know where you're at or what your body is needing at this point. I've gotten a lot of these kinds of things just now. Kind of eenie-meenie-miney mo - some new ones arrived today. But out of the bunch, this is one of the keepers. Really, really helpful in ways I can't properly articulate here. Very worth getting. I think I just realized that it may be this thing that's allowing me to sleep so much more deeply and completely the last few days. This thing is actually magnificent. But they should call it "The Lobster" because of the way it looks. Ahh - you know what? Even if the knock-offs were as good, and I bet they aren't - the material this is made out of is PERRRRRFECT for what this thing does. Why fiddle with that? And it's kind of offensive that others just copied it that completely. I don't really trust a company that operates like that to do the right things where it matters. Pretty crazy how great this thing is, especially as you continue to use it and your body begins to crave it in particular ways. You can use your legs to lift your body so the pressure is applied to different areas in different ways, and in some spots practically stand your body up to put a lot of pressure on particular spots. But the exact consistency of this material is perfect, so I wouldn't really want to try a knock-off at this point. Yeah, very positive review on this thing.

Rhomboid pain relief
This "lobster" looks insane, is a little pricey, and if kind of heavy, but it is 100% the best thing I have ever bought. I was in so much pain after a rhomboid muscle spasm that I bought everything I could find in an effort to get a little relief... This was the only thing that helped. I was un so much pain that i could not move without bringing tears to my eyes and my spouse had to drive me to the urgent care. It took some adjusting to get the lobster into the right position and it was a little uncomfortable at first, but trust the process. I used the photos and the included booklet as a guide for where the nodes were supposed to line up. Im pretty tall and have a long neck so it took some trial and error. The goal is to *completely* relax onto it for at least 15 minutes for it to actually work and release your muscles. This is what worked for me: I attached a gooseneck tablet holder to a table to hold my tablet above me so I could watch netflix, and I laid on my lobster for half an hour. I didn't use my arms or shoulders at all during that time to allow my muscles to fully release. After the first use, my pain went from intolerable to just annoying. After a few days of 1-2 30-minute sessions my pain was completely gone. I use the lobster routinely because I tend to hold a lot of tensions in my shoulders, nothing else even comes close to the amount of relief this provides. It also flexes a little so it's not too rigid, which I think helps a lot. The guide shows a few different ways this cam be used to help with different ailments, and I loved it so much I bought the little sciatica one little mum has to help with relieving tension in my glutes. 10/10 would recommend both of these products. Pro tip: keep out of reach of cats. Mine like to chew on the rubbery texture of this.

Maybe better than other brands, maybe not. Not great for necks.
The listing for this product goes into depth about how theirs is the original and the cheaper "knock offs" aren't as good. I think if a product is shaped the same and the same density you will have the same experience regardless of cost or brand. The material is sort of a tacky rubber so it will pull long hair and slightly stick to clothes, but I think they are all that way. This one is quite heavy whereas the product listing for this says the knock-offs are lighter weight. I don't think it really matters. As for this one, I mostly find it useful enough for the price. It takes some trial and error to get placement just right and the guidance that comes with it was not optimal for me. In no configuration will it get my lower neck area, but it does get my tight traps and along the spine. I actually find that putting it sideways or upside down gets the best relief. For reference I am a 5'3 female of normal or slightly light weight with no major back issues but a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck from bad posture sitting and looking at my phone too much. I do not get any "A HA!" type of relief, but it feels good while I am using it and helps me wind down before bed. I have better luck if I put my feet up on a chair and wiggle on it to get a deep pressure point massage which isn't really possible just laying there.

Magical!
I don’t know what sorcery this is, but after weeks of suffering with pain in my upper trapezius, for which I tried stretching and mobility, different massage contraptions, tens unit, cupping, kinesio tape and ibuprofen around the clock this thingy was able to relieve my pain after just one use. Now I just lay on it for 5mins in the morning and can go about my day almost pain free! Highly recommend!

Great idea, wrong fit — couldn’t hit the spots that matter
I wanted this to work. I’ve got ongoing thoracic/back issues earned over a 46-year audition for the lead in Hunchback of Notre Dame. By the end of most days, I’m crawling to the couch before the good shows even come on. I don’t take pain meds, so tools like this aren’t optional—but finding a good one feels like a full time job. This thing isn’t cheap, but if you deal with chronic back pain, you already know: if something works, price stops being part of the conversation. Unfortunately, this one didn’t work for me. The core issue is fit and targeting. The design uses fixed-position pressure nodes (those rounded “bumps” on the frame) that are supposed to line up with trigger points around the shoulder blades and upper spine. In theory, it’s perfect. In practice, I could never get those nodes to land where I actually needed pressure. I would burn with fire any pictures that exist of me contorting my body to hit "my spots" but, for me, the contact points were always just… off. Close enough to tickle it, but I need that sucker dug in there, hitting the knot. It felt like trying to scratch an itch through a parka. I think I can chalk this up to shape. I am a totally normally shaped guy, I just didn't draw the right straw for this, and nothing is really adjustable. If your shoulder width, spine curvature, and muscle placement happen to match how this is molded, I can absolutely see why some people love it. There are plenty of positive reviews, and I believe them. I really hope this is your miracle and it helps free you of pain and helps you feel great while doing the things you want to do. I’m just not built like whoever they used as the template. Your mileage may vary.

Amazingly Simple To Use for Neck and Shoulders
Once I got the points in the proper placement on my neck, shoulders, and spine the massage was perfect and did an amazing job. It hits all the right pressure points on the muscles. I was skeptical at first and couldn’t figure out the comfortable way to place my head and neck but once I got it right I could lift my arms and rotate my shoulders to allow the massage device to work on me. I even increased to my legs on a chair while I laid on the floor moving my arms around slowly. I felt the pain during this but after I was done with the exercise my neck, shoulder, and back muscles felt so much better. My shoulder, back and neck pain from years of playing ice hockey just melted away after using this. I can easily recommend this for anyone looking for an easy way to get blood flow to stiff and sore neck and shoulder muscles. It’s beyond simple to use.

It’s worth the money
I give this a 4 star rating because the Trapezius Trigger Point Massage is to hard for my neck ( I had surgery and my neck and shoulders are always very tight) so I find it difficult to use However the Back Trigger Point Massager is wonderful for me. Some mornings I crawl out of bed and I feel so much tightness and pain, I lay on it for a few minutes, then do my daily stretches and the rest of the day I feel wonderful. If I’ve had a “tough on my body day” I lay on it before bed and I can fall asleep easily since the tension has been eased. I was hesitant about the price, but Since it has a 15 year warranty I gave it a try. A couple trips to the Chiropractor and I will pay much more than this. Now I can find relief without the wait of an appointment. I recommend you give it a try, if you don’t like it, send it back. I’ve had mine for several months and I will be keeping it.

Works better than I thought
World better than I thought it would. Very pleased with the product. I just have to start using it more.

Solid and Well Made
This is a solid device with serious weight. I was surprised how heavy it was. I use it from time to time and it does help loosen the tightness and break down the tension. I do suggest that you follow the directions exactly. Work slowly with it. I have read some reviews on being too small or too big for body size. I cannot attest to that but for reference I am 5'7". Also beware of counterfeit items that "look" like this, they are not the same. Be sure you are ordering from this seller. I recommend this product.

This is THE one to get
I’m so glad that I purchased this quality trigger point massager rather than a less expensive knockoff. It is firm enough to hit all the right spots. Not foam, firm :)

Very well made!
This device is obviously well made, and I suspect would be worth the added expense of not buying the cheaper knock offs. Sadly I think it’s meant to help with a slightly different issue from the one I was hoping it would help me with, but although it wasn’t quite the best tool for me I do think it is going to be a miraculous discovery to help someone else!

Effective
This is a really simple device which unlike complicated electronic massagers can be used alone, without power and without worrying too much that you're doing it wrong. It's less versatile than a gun style massager for example, but it's advantages make it a very viable alternative. Using it is really easy, and doesn't require any special training. Once you have it in position your own body weight will do the job. I found it did a great job of relieving muscle tension. I hadn't tried this kind of acupressure in the past and I was very surprised and impressed by the results. I have a number of massage tools and I thought this one did just as well as the rest without the hassle of moving parts and batteries etc. It's also similar in price, which seems odd as it's essentially just a piece of moulded plastic, but the design is clearly good, and the material is clearly robust enough to create the required effect, and to last many years, but also soft enough to lie on without causing pain. Overall, this is a surprisingly effective device which has been effective in reducing pain and tightness in my back muscles, and I would definitely recommend it.
