Variable Speed Attic Fan with 14” blades. Highly recommend
I installed the variable speed controller and 14” blade exhaust fan in my attic at the beginning of Dec, which was a much nicer installation as the attic temperature was much cooler than normal as the outside temperature was much lower. Once I had mounted the fan high up on an outside wall that already had a (shutter) vent. I only needed to have a 120vAC outlet to plug in the fan controller. Overall I found the insulation easy and was very pleased with this product quality which has worked flawlessly since, very pleased I purchased this fan. Since the fan was installed I have noticed a big difference in the attic temperature and have saved money on my utility bill because my AC unit is not running as much as it was before the fan was installed. The fan is not too loud either, quieter than I originally thought it would be when the fan is running. However, I did decide to mount the fan on rubber (shock absorber) anti-vibration pads (purchased separately) to help with any vibration, noise from the surrounding wood framing where the fan was mounted. Normally I keep my AC at 72 deg F, so by exhausting the very hot attic air (Max 150 degrees F) that’s in my attic, which transfers heat through the ceiling into living spaces below. My AC doesn't need to come on as early in the day and shuts down sooner in the evening. Overall I am glad I made this decision to install this fan in my attic and very happy with this purchase.

Simple, Effective Attic Ventilation
I installed this solar attic fan recently. It works as expected and helps reduce some of the heat in the attic. The solar-first design is convenient, and the thermostat is easy to set. Noise is average for a fan this size. Installation takes some time, especially on the roof, but once it’s in place it runs without much attention. Overall, it’s a decent, practical option if you just need better ventilation without anything too fancy.

Great solution for poorly insulated attic
Living on the top floor of an old house has always meant dealing with extreme heat in the summer. The space heats up so quickly, and even though we added extra insulation when we moved in, it didn’t completely resolve the issue. The top floor would still become unbearably hot, making it difficult to enjoy the space. After researching solutions, I decided to try this solar-powered attic fan, and I’m so glad I did. Installation was straightforward, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works. The fan has improved ventilation in the attic space between the ceiling and roof rafters, which was previously a major source of heat buildup. Since the fan started running, our top floor has stayed significantly cooler, even on the hottest days. The fan’s solar power is a great bonus since it runs efficiently without increasing our energy costs. The difference has been night and day. The temperature on the top floor is much more comfortable now, and the fan works quietly without being intrusive. It has made a huge difference in maintaining a livable temperature throughout the summer, and I’m really happy with the investment. If you're dealing with similar heat issues in an old house or a poorly ventilated attic, this fan is definitely worth considering—it’s a practical and effective solution.

Saves on cooling costs
I installed this exhaust fan in my ranch style home this past May, it is now November. I am so glad I did, but I kick myself for not doing it sooner. I saved significantly on my cooling costs this year. My utility company had estimated my electrical usage over the summer and did an actual meter just over 2 months ago. My AC usage went down so much that my bill has been zero for the past 2 months. This fan has more than paid for itself in just one season! My cooling costs are at least 1/3 lower. The iLiving fan was easy to install and has worked flawlessly. It is not too loud either. The only thing I did notice was air buffeting at the intake side of the fan. But this is due more to the installation and gable vent's ability to pass air than the fan itself. I've considered adding a 3 foot length of duct to the intake side of the fan shroud to stabilize the air flow, which should make it more efficient. Typically I keep my AC at 76- 78 degrees, a little lower if it is very humid. By exhausting the hot attic air that transfers heat through the ceiling into living spaces, my AC doesn't need to come on as early in the day and shuts down sooner in the evening.

Heeps the house a couple degrees cooler.
Pretty easy to install. I used romex 12-2-2 and attach one end to a 3-pronged male head, because I had an outlet in the attic. So far, it's kept my house much cooler than before. I have it attached to my roof with the exhaust pointing out of a vent. The sound is relatively quiet, like a box fan. The amount of air it moves is pretty good for its size. It seems pretty well made. I had no issues with warping of the housing like one reviewer had.

Quiet and quickly feel the indoor coolness
The old one was very noisy also broke down stopped working within a year. This new one is very nice and quiet. What our family likes most is that it can adjust the temperature and turn it on and off automatically.

Six Week Life Span
This product was a bargain for it's specification (CFM & thermostatic control) and great price but only for about 6 weeks, then it died. While it worked I was thrilled of its performance. Diagnostic post-mortem is still in-process but I can eliminate power supply and breaker. It's not easy to reach in the attic but I was able to adjust the thermostat control knob and heard it click but the fan motor did not respond. This product is a huge disappointment.

Above expecttions
Exceeding expectations, this fan boasts a sturdy design with minimal vibration, making it easy to assemble and install. The temperature relay is strategically placed within the airflow, ensuring precise temperature detection. Upon installation, I added rubber pads, and it has been quiet from the start. While the motor isn’t greaseable without disassembly, this is acceptable. One improvement I’d suggest is including a motor speed regulator as standard equipment—I implemented this as a separate unit myself. Update: for a small/low attic space in your house get something less powerful - you don't want to run a jet engine on your bike. My 3000ft3 (volume) attic is way too small for this fan.

A much needed attic cooling system
This solar attic fan is the greatest. Two metal bars allow you to change the angle of the solar panel for low, medium or high pitch roofs. The built-in thermostat allow adjustment of temperature for when the fan kicks in. This will be our second solar fan. We installed one on the garage a few years back and it not only cools the attic but it saves the asphalt shingles from overheating.

Great fan
Read lots of reviews on this product before buying it. Lots said it was noisy. I purchased the rubber washers and put them on each side of the screws that were touching either metal or wood and it’s quiet. Don’t put it on plywood like they suggest. That’s a horrible idea. Screw it into a 2x4’s then screw those into the 2x4’s on the wall inside your attic so it pushes the heat out. Worked great for me. Wish I had pictures but it was 120 degrees in my attic when I installed mine.

Good product.
It was easy enough to install. Plugged it in, and it has a setting for what temperature you want it to kick in at. Lowered the temperature in the attic by around 5 degrees celcius.

So far so good
Product was a replacement, so far satisfied but it took a month or more to get it delivered in spite of Amazon prime.
