Rugged Protection for Tougher Chores
I picked these up because the standard kitchen gloves just aren't enough when I'm dealing with harsher stuff like heavy-duty degreasers, acids, or solvents. These ThxToms nitrile gloves feel much thicker and more durable than anything Iโve found at the local hardware store. They provide a solid barrier that really protects my hands from that dry, irritated feeling you get after working with oils or household chemicals for too long. The fit on the large size is comfortableโnot too tight, but enough to give me a good grip on whatever Iโm scrubbing or holding. Since they are latex-free, I don't have to worry about any skin reactions, which is a big relief. They have a bit of a textured surface on the fingers and palms, which is a huge help when things get slippery from soap or oil. They feel like theyโre built to last for more than just one or two uses. Iโve used them for some pretty messy projects around the garage and for deep-cleaning the bathroom, and they haven't punctured or torn yet. They are a simple, high-quality set of gloves that offer much better peace of mind when you're working with the "strong" cleaners. They just work good and keep your hands safe.

Strong Gloves for Household Tasks!
If you need a good upper body workout, try washing facecloths and rags in a bucket in the sink. Yes my washing machine broke and I'm waiting for the repairman to tell me if it can be fixed. Eight years without an issue until there was an error code and the washing machine wouldn't drain!!! So I got these gloves because my regular disposable gloves are no match for laundry detergent or bleach and the water gets inside the smaller gloves. These are nice and long so you can plunge your gloved hands into the water and move things around. These also worked well while I was scrubbing the rags clean. Whew! Gloves that are this strong are impressive when doing household tasks. As far as comfort goes, the XL fit me perfectly with a little wiggle room. I have trouble finding gloves that will fit me in general and these worked great. So if you normally get an XL in the disposable gloves, these might work for you. All my rags and facecloths are in the dryer happily getting ready for folding. I will say that doing manual labor like washing things by hand gives you an invigorating sense of accomplishment that you don't get from washing clothes and rags in the washing machine. If I had one of those rotating clotheslines like I had in Africa I would have happily hung up all the washed items and let them dry in the sun. Memories! While washing I listened to my forest birdsong CD. It was almost like being outside washing clothes on a rock in a stream. ~The Rebecca Review

Great quality
Great protection for heavy housecleaning with chemicals.

Durable and sturdy.
While a bit stiff to do the dishes, these resist bleach well (cheap gloves deteriorate rapidly) and are very good for overall house uses. I bought a pair 3 months ago to experiment. Now ordering 5 pairs. The original pair is not worn out, but punctured by a glass I broke while doing the dishes. They run a bit large, but not enough for me to order small. This little bit of extra space makes them easy to put on and take off, incidentally.

Simply buy one size larger than the chart says, and YOU WILL SWEAR BY THESE THINGS.
**I made a "Nutshell" version near the bottom of the review for those who just want the very basics** Also, I paid the full Amazon price for this product and have no affiliation with whomever makes these gloves, and nobody asked me to review this product. :) SIZING ACCURACY (4 out of 5) -- go one size bigger than the chart tells you. Took one star off because I followed the sizing chart, and the resulting measurement put me right in the sweet spot for the "Large" size gloves (like right in the middle of that bracket), and these gloves are snug to the point of being kind of uncomfortable. I mean, we're not talking about cutting off blood circulation or anything, but I definitely wouldn't want to wear them at this size for more than maybe 5 minutes. So I might suggest going by the sizing chart, figuring out the "suggested" size, and then going one larger unless you're at the very bottom measurement for that size bracket. The other issue the sizing problem causes is that they're pretty challenging to take off. So really, this doesn't take away from the quality of the glove itself, it just means that you have to "work around" the inaccurate sizing chart that they provide. MATERIAL/DEXTERITY (5 out of 5!) Sizing issues aside, the gloves themselves are made out of a sturdy material that seems like it would stand up well to repeated use -- putting on/taking off over and over, etc., at least for what I use them for, which is keeping chemicals off of my skin. And unlike lots of other gloves where you're basically choosing between resilience OR dexterity, the dexterity and fine control I had with these gloves on was outstanding, which was even more surprising considering the sizing mishap meant the gloves were pretty tight on my hands & fingers. The gripping surfaces are also lightly textured, which is always a plus. TEAR/PUNCTURE RESISTANCE (5 out of 5! --based on light to moderate testing) I saw on the product page that one of the listed product features is that they're tear-resistant, which I have to admit I HIGHLY doubted just from the feel of the material. So, since I'm going to buy another pair of these gloves (one size larger) anyway, I figured I'd do a little experiment for this review...I took one of the gloves by the wrist part and just let it hang down, grabbed a pair of pretty-new scissors with nice narrow blades, and started raking down the glove vertically with one of the scissor blades. At first I used light pressure and all I saw were faint lines (not cuts, just marks that something had rubbed against the material). So I upped the pressure and speed of the swipes bit by bit until I was more or less just kind of "slashing" at the gloves. --Result: All I ended up with were the same white lines/markings where the blade had roughed up the material a bit. I pulled the material perpendicular to the direction I was slashing to see if I could pull open any tiny cuts that I wouldn't have otherwise seen, and there wasn't a single one. I then held part of the upper wrist portion taut and tried a few straight-on pokes at it with a single scissor blade. (For reference, the tip of each blade on this pair of scissors was just a tiny bit thicker than the end of a tine on a normal-sized dinner fork...so the pressure was focused on a pretty small/sharp area.) Pressure-wise, I again started on the lighter side at first which wasn't doing anything, so I pushed the scissor blade pretty hard straight into the material about 5 times or so, expecting it to puncture at least slightly. The pressure on each of the 5 "stabs" was enough to push the tautly-stretched glove material about 2-ish inches and was applied to the same exact spot all 5 times. --Result: No puncture, and not even so much as a deformity in the material where the scissor blade was repeatedly pushed into it. NUTSHELL VERSION for those who completely skipped the stuff above...I didn't want to leave out the people who just want the quick facts so they can move on :) *(For those that did read above, there's no info in this section that wasn't in the full review you read)* - The gloves are sized a bit small according to the chart so I'd suggest buying one size larger. - The gloves are sturdy without reducing your ability to have fine control over whatever you're working on. - I put them through some decent tests and they seem to be VERY resistant to tears and punctures. As long as you're not TRYING to shred them apart, or you're a knife juggler or something, my bet is you'll be fine. But obviously some situations have more sharp edge hazards than others, so maybe in that case buy a few pairs just to have some backups. - You don't find quality like this at these prices very often so if you have any use for a good set of gloves, buy a pair and you won't be disappointed. AND THAT'S THE REVIEW! ONE REQUEST, if you feel like doing it -- I would really love your FEEDBACK! I genuinely hope you found this review helpful, and I'd love it if you'd let me know what you liked or if there's some stuff that didn't really do anything for you. Basically I always aim to provide honest reviews with as much detail as possible for people who are looking for that level of information, as well as "just the basics" for people who need the quick facts. And yes, the voting buttons are a quick and easy way both for you to tell me if you liked it or didn't like it, as well as for me to quickly see overall if my reviews are actually helping people, but I'd really love it if you'd also drop a comment below the review (if you're so inclined) so I can get some real details on what I can do more and less of to help out my fellow Amazon addicts even better :)

Great kitchen gloves
I stopped by gloves that will break in a month to do dishes and these are the ticket. As far as chemical resistance, I have heavy duty gloves I prefer from a big box store that a thicker that I trust.

long lasting, great for hot water
These have lasted for months. I've always bought the white ones with the pic of the bald guy, and I liked them. But they always rip or get a hole. This pair of chemical resistant gloves has lasted for such a long time. Somewhere, I read that cheaper and more thin dish washing gloves react to hot water. Can you believe it? I'm glad I tried these, and highly recommend them.

Fit was great. Good protection.
These are very comfortable gloves and fit is good. I am able to take them on and off with ease. I still have some dexterity, but not as well as with synthetic exam type gloves, which are tighter fitting. They are fine for my intended purpose, which is working with mordants and dyes. They are a thinner material, so I'm not sure if I would use them for anything more caustic.

Easy and Safe
These rubber gloves were just right. The rubber was thick enough to protect but thin enough to keep the gloves flexible. I used these to clean an oven and they worked perfectly. Also very easy to get the hands in and out.
