Ok, the necklace cat is marked s925. I also gave it a magnet test and it passed. The cat is small, a half inch or less. The chain is average length. Due to its size I was disappointed when I saw it but my better half loved it so that is what matters!

Is the chain to big for a 6yr old?

I think the chain is 16/18 inches. On my 9 year old it hangs to mid-chest. For a 6 year old I would consider a smaller chain.
