I'm looking for a product that I can use on large solar panels. Would this work well on glass?

Brandon, I do not think this will work for your solar panels. This product is not a traditional squegee in that the blade is not a flat rubber edge. It is a broad rubber/foam edge designed to push water away from an area of the floor. Also, it will only work well on floors that have a smooth(er) texture, such as your garage floor, but will not work as effectively as on a concrete sidewalk.

Could I use this to pull water off of an indoor/outdoor rug after a rain storm? The rug has a pile and the fabric on the surface gets quite saturated

It should help. Haven't used on a rug but works good for concert and ice
