THE BEST TRAVEL IDEAS!!
Love this book. A great book just to enjoy and dream about planning your bucket list. Great ideas, photos, descriptions. I saw this at a hotel and ordered it immediately. I have not regretted getting this wonderful book.

inspiration for your next trip
As good as it looks/sounds . . . Can't run out of ideas/pictures/places It's taking a while to get through b/c there's So Much to see . . . You can get lost in the pictures , or use them as inspiration for your next trip :) -easy to use, as little side maps show u where in the globe the attraction is located My pal & I perused thru it for an hour . . . then it got too heavy for him -- 5lbs !!!

an amazing book
I have truly enjoyed the information. This book is awesome! I keep it on the coffee table and visitors often comment positively on it. It's a must have book.

OK Book
Excellent photos but didn't see much in this book to make me want to get out there. Short articles with not much info. I guess the pictures were supposed to do the talking and provide the inspiration, which they did to some small degree. OK for the coffee table but I would not recommend this book.

Nice but heavy!
I bought this as a retirement gift for someone and it is very good quality but most definitely a coffee table book because it is very big and heavy. This would not be very usable as a guide but as a gift it is perfect

Tolles Buch!
Für Reisefans dürfte die "... of a Lifetime"-Reihe des National Geographic ein Begriff sein, ans Herz legen kann ich sie allen, die einen kleinen Eindruck der schönsten Orte unseres Planeten haben wollen. Auch bei "Secret Journeys of a Lifetime" verhält es sich nicht anders, 500 Reiseziele aus aller Welt, wobei diesmal ein größerer Fokus auf Südamerika und Asien gelegt wurde. (Es sind aber alle Länder ziemlich gleichmäßig vertreten), die großformatigen Bilder und die nützlichen Reiseinformationen (die aber nur für einen groben Überblick reichen, das Buch versteht sich nicht als klassischer Reiseführer) runden den Gesamteindruck ab!
