Really awesome looking model!
Iv'e had it for 1 or 2 years now and it's a great figure to display on my table with my other 3 anatomy models. When putting it together it was kinda hard, but i used a piece of tape on the intestines to hold it in there. one of the hardest parts was the belly piece and skull, but other than that, it was fine to build. there were time i accidentally knocked it over and 1 or 2 times it doesn't happen anymore and ALL the pieces are still intact!!1 On the solid non- see through side it has nice scaling detail and wet or dry brushing done, and has 6 red stripes on that side. The arms look a little too big in proportion to the body but that's because of the way you have to put it together. They even put the binocular vision with the eyes, now the sheet it comes with mentions feathers which is accurate, but they didn't sculpt any on the model it's self. The mouth/jaws are nicely done, the way the teeth look inside the mouth makes it look like it has an lip-covering to protect the teeth, another accuracy, although it looks odd from the bottom view. The other side is obviously see through and you can see the skeleton and organs inside. I counted up about 10 air sacs, 2 in the neck, 6 under the lungs and 2 behind the lungs. When you put the organs together as far as i can remember the lungs snap together, and the rectum snaps into the intestines, everything else is loose.

Nice lil product, but tricky to put together
The instructions say some such thing as, normal assembly is in 7-8 minutes, 5 minutes is genius, etc. I guess it's a puzzle. HOWEVER - my husband and my 7yo son are not dense. Some of the plastic pieces just pop right back out. It was NOT a fast project. You knew where the pieces went, but like the bottoms of the dino's feet would fall right off, and other pieces just pop out when you put the next few pieces in. We ended up super-gluing it, it is really neat to look at, a fun memory, but not something that would hold together without the glue..... It is pretty cool. Just don't sit down expecting it to just snap together. Plan to fiddle with it, maybe put it 3/4ths together, then take that half apart, etc. LOL

Not Worth The Effort
I bought this by mistake, thinking that I was buying the larger T-Rex model they make which is roughly twice the size. I have the large Velociraptor model, and it's pretty good although not perfect. I was going to send this one back, but I was curious and decided to try it out. This model is hard to put together. I mean, really hard. I'm an adult and have a lot of experience with model kits, but this kit is poorly designed and the parts don't fit together well at all due to being slightly deformed from their ideal shapes. It takes a lot of coaxing and fussing to get the kit together. I would say this kit was even harder to assemble than the large Velociraptor kit, and that one was pretty hard. This is due to the poor fit of the parts, which is a bigger issue with a smaller model. It's supposed to be a snap kit, but I had to use super glue to get the parts to stay together. I would say that building this model and getting it to fit together without using glue is impossible. Too many parts are bent out of shape and the tolerances are too close to allow for this much bending. This kit is a fair amount of trouble for an adult to get together, so I don't recommend it for a child. But an adult is not going to be satisfied with the relatively poor level of detail. It is definitely meant for children. So I would say this kit is not really suitable for anyone. I mean, you spend more than an hour putting it together and then it doesn't really look like much. A particular issue with this kit is that apparently some sellers are confusing this T-Rex with the large T-Rex and sending people the wrong one. That's not what happened to me, but it has happened to some other buyers. I can tell this from some of the reviews I read. I know that some people paid for the large one and got the small one by mistake. The pictures on many of the product pages are innacurate, so the only way to tell them apart is by the price. The small one costs about 25 dollars (definitely NOT worth it) and the large one costs upwards of 50 bucks. So if you want the large T-Rex (probably pretty cool based on the large velociraptor I got), then make sure the seller knows what you are expecting and doesn't send you the wrong one.

Possible issues with the parts
I love the texture detail and anatomy, the only problem I ran into was the internal organs. Some like the stomach you can see where it should go, but then there's nothing to *keep* it there, making this level of the assembly very tedious and difficult. You'll likely need to use glue for that stage. As is sometimes the case with models like this, sometimes the product is just a sliver of a millimeter off, and can make snapping two pieces made to go together more difficult than it should be. In my experience, this was the jaw - which continuously fell out of the skull until I finally got everything assembled.
