Shepherding a Child's Heart-Leader's Guide

This leader's guide is based on Tedd Tripp's book "Shepherding a Child's Heart," which I read years ago. I wanted to refresh my memory about that material, so I read this leader's guide instead of re-reading the original.This book is a very helpful review and summary of the original book, written in an outline format (with full sentences for most of the points of the outline). It's recalling to my mind principles that I had forgotten in a way that is very true to the text of the original book. Years ago, I led a class at my church based on this material, and this book would have been a great help for distilling the information for group teaching.So if you're leading a class, or just wanting to review this material, I think this book would be very helpful for you. If you've never read the book this is based on, it would probably be best to start with that book. But this book would at least give you a framework and would certainly be better than not getting the material at all!

This is great if you're leading a book study or just want a study guide for Shepherding A Child's Heart, but it does not match up with the questions in the Parents Handbook which combined some chapters in the original book and had different questions. All 3 are good resources, but choose the leaders guide OR parents handbook to compliment the book - not both.

I Love this book! This book has opened my eyes and helped me to raise my boys in a way that gives them the best chance at a meaningful relationship with God. Thank you!

It is fine for a test on the chapter, but not very good in a discussion group. I'm using the discussion questions at the end of each chapter of the actual book instead. Those questions are more suitable for the post-video discussion. I found the leader guide unnecessary. As for the actual "Shepherding A Child's Heart" book, it's the first parenting book I recommend. The video series content is excellent, as well.

This is an amazing tool for every parent. Besides the Bible it is the best written book on parenting I have ever used. We taught it to our couples in Central Italy and they too were greatly helped in their desire to be Godly parents.

this read helps parents make loving God a way of life, not just play church on Sundays! As a preschool teacher, I wish it was a required read for all parents before getting to leave the hospital with their new miracle!

its more like a question book after you have completed the guide...bought this as i thought it was a guide with steps but its not

Refreshingly the title is what it says, a good look at shepherding our children in the ways of the Lord, helping us to understand where we are and where we want to be.

This book is excellent, Didn't gave 5 stars bec needs update as British english, and need update for more actual problems.
