By far the best tanning lotion I have ever used. I use it to tan in a tanning bed & then use the oil version to tan outside and after a month of tanning indoors and outdoors I am a natural golden bronze color. It looks amazing. It's definitely tinted and you need to wash your hands after. The smell is different but in a good way. I don't mind it at all, reminds me of a strong coffee or butter scotch smell. I buy this same bottle every 6 weeks, because I go through it so fast. They even taped the top shut do it wouldn't explode or leak if left in the Arkansas heat too long. I recommend this product so much I should be a paid spokesperson for how many times I've convinced people to buy it. I'm fair complected in the winter but with this lotion and bit of tanning I'm almost brown lol. It's a beautiful natural brown, not orange or fake looking like alot of tanning lotions do. The only complaint I have is it is a bit oily so you have to wipe a bit of it off after you tan. Will stain clothes so make sure you put something on dark after you wear it. About to purchase again because my bottle is almost empty and I can't live without it. LolI've only been tanning a month and I'll probably only need to tan a couple more weeks to completely max out on tanning. This product is AMAZING. You should purchase the outdoor tanning oil version as well. Its just as good, will purchase a couple bottles for my beach vacation this summer, i have to buy a few because my family uses it all when we go to the beach lol

I bought this tanning lotion because I was going on vacation. I got very tan while using this product and I didn't even have to lay out for very long. I like that it gives you a natural looking tan and doesn't stain your hands. Will definitely be buying again!

I have been using this for about 10 years when someone else introduced me to it. Someone else wrote a review on here that was spot on, so I'm going to follow that lead.1. This is not sunscreen. Don't expect it to keep you from burning.2. I apply sunscreen, then smooth the Maui Babe over top. I am dark, dark, dark in the summer (i'm a redhead that tans pretty easily, but this gets me ultra tan and looks so natural).3. I've never had it stain a towel, clothes or any bathing suits. Washes right out if you accidentally get it on something.4. It is a little oily, so make sure you rinse your hands after applying. I always wipe off with my beach towel before going inside so as to not get it on furniture.5. I've never had a little brown cloud around me when I get into pools. It pretty much just comes off, nothing noticeable in the water, though. Reapply once you're dry.6. Just like anything, there is a scent...but I've never found it to be a negative scent. I also never noticed smelling like it once I put it on. Let's face it, sweating in the sun will cause you to not smell like roses anyhow.Try it out with the above expectations and you'll fall in love with it too.

I have been using this tanning lotion for years, and I will NEVER switch! It gives me the perfect dark tropical tan every single time—no streaks, no orange tones, just a deep, natural-looking glow. I waiting an awful long time to order this product after reading a ton of reviews and looking over the Maui Babe website. It definitely has its PROS... but it also has it's CONS.PROS:1. The product claims to give you a tan faster than other lotions without staining your skin. I will say that I agree that the product does this. I achieved a tan that would take me hours and hours to achieve out in the sun in just an hour or so.2. The color of my tan. It was very natural and it lasted for quite some time.3. You do not need to use a lot of product at once. I really only needed a pea size amount for my arms and a quarter size amount for my legs and torso.CONS:1. Smell. The smell of this product is pretty awful. I think it smells like soy sauce.2. Consistency: I put the product in my hand and it felt like lotion. The moment I started applying it to my skin, it became very greasy. It doesn't really absorb into the skin very well.3. Streaky on the skin: Although my tan that developed looked natural and beautiful, the product that sits on the skin while laying out looked streaky and to be honest with you, kind of odd.I would be lying if I said I wouldn't continue to use this product. I received a beautiful tan in a short amount of time, but I will not be taking it to the beach or anywhere in public. This will strictly be a product I use at home poolside.
