SLIMYSAND is amazing! It has the perfect texture—soft, moldable, and holds shapes really well. My kids (and honestly, I join in too!) love squishing, shaping, and building with it. Unlike regular sand, it’s not messy, and it sticks together without drying out. A fantastic sensory and creative play experience—hours of fun in a small, easy-to-clean package!

This sand slime was a huge hit for my kids! So affordable and they played with it for hours. It’s obviously not taste safe so very important that younger kids are supervised while playing.

See my attached videos and photos to see the difference I had purchased a couple different sizes/colors to use in my preschool classroom for in a sensory bin this week. I bought both the 1.5LB bucket(blue raspberry scent) and the 3LB resealable bag (purple). The slimy sand in the BUCKET (scented kind) was perfect. It felt like kinetic sand, but was stretchy like slime. It held together nicely and was very moldable. It was not sticky and it did not fall apart. However!!!! The slimy sand in the bag did NOT stretch at all, it didn't even stay together, you couldn't mold it or do anything with it because it all fell apart. It was very grity, it felt AND LOOKED like there was sugar on my hands after I was finished handling it. It also left a mess behind on my counter, even though I never took it out of the bag. I handled it over the top of my hand with caution. I had gotten the 3LB bag so I could have 3 students at a time doing the sensory station with me, so it's disappointing that I am not able to use it. But, I am SO glad I bought the bucket! Might order another bucket, but will definitely be staying away from buying the big bags. See videos and photos to see the difference.

It has an AMAZING texture and it’s fun to play with, it doesn’t dry out aslong as you keep it in its container, it smells good, it’s not sticky, it’s easy to stretch like slime but you can still use and mold it like real sand. Little sister loved it! Only problem with it was that it turned an icky purple once you mixed it.

So I used to buy a different brand of stretchy sand a couple years ago (this was 2021-2022) and it was the best stuff EVER to play with my kids at the table, but they stopped making it. It was Play-Doh EZ stretch. This is definitely the closest thing to that. It's soft and very stretchy, the only reason I don't give it 5 stars like I did the other kind, is because it leaves a film on your hands and on the surface you're using it on (table). It stops being fun after 5-10 minutes because of that film on your skin so you have to go wash your hands and then it takes like 2 or 3 times wiping over the table afterwards to get all the coloring and film off. Besides that, it's very fun, and WAY less messy than Kinetic sand.

Review from a Sensory Processing Disorder mama - My son is 4 and is a sensory seeker and avoider so his threshold is a very fine line. His preferred sensory experience is kinetic sand. He absolutely loved this! He had to watch his sister play with it first but he has been grossly enamored with it for 30 min and counting. There is a tiny smell but he didn’t notice it. After playing with it for 30 min with excited and sweaty little hands, there’s a slight texture I can feel but it doesn’t seem to bother him. No coloring has come off on our hands or nails. The consistency of the compound is holding well even with the heat from his hands. We did have to work together to figure out how to continue using it once it heated up a little, but he did really well adjusting. You just have to ball it back up tightly and start again. He loved watching it fall off the edge of the table. After a while of that, we needed to ball it all back up tightly and slowly be pushing it off the table and it would stretch all the way down! Slowly and it’ll stretch without ripping! My typical 2 year old played with this for 30 min and I know she’ll be back later for more!
