QQ Sweeper, Vol. 2

I had high hopes for this series in the beginning because of who it was authored by. Its nice to see that I wasn't disappointed. QQ Sweeper is probably one of the most original ideas I've ever seen for a story since Library Wars began. It's like a breath of fresh air. But in order to really like it, you need to check your pre-canned expectations at the cover. I can image that some people who are used to reading shonen manga like Bleach and Naruto would look at this series and go "really? A broom as a weapon?" To really get this series I think you need to kind of understand something. When the main character says "we don't use magic" and then proceeds to chant something, its not because he's lying. He doesn't exactly "fight" things. He seems to do the equivalent of praying, exorcizing, and purifying evil and negativity which takes the form of bugs. The broom is just a tool of his trade as he exorcises these evils from people's minds. Yes... I know that's complex, but you need to really wrap your head around that concept or you probably won't enjoy this series. The story of this series takes a seemingly ordinary girl and plants her into this complex boy's world, and she thrives in it. More than that, this volume has proven to me once again that the author has an amazing love story planned. The main female character starts to become part of the family, and her past is revealed.I can imagine this manga series won't be for everyone. The concept is quite a bit deeper than a lot of the other manga I've read in my life. But it does seem like it will take us on a truly incredible ride.

I've never met a Kyousuke Motomi book I didn't like and this is no exception! I love how eerie this book is and "Q" is probably my favorite out of her male protagonists so far! I love how the art style has gotten so much better over all these years (I've been reading her books since around 2008). So if you like Kyousuke Motomi, pick this work up and you won't regret it! :D This work gets more to the heart of the story, its not quite to the point of the serialization in Japan but I love how the translation seems to be pretty close behind the actual Japan releases! :D

Motomi Kyousuke has done it again. It's an incomparable series to any other manga (or other story, written or drawn) that I've read. When you describe this manga, you sound crazy, but when you're reading it, you get pulled in so deep you find yourself understanding ridiculous fantasy. Or rather, wanting to. It's fun, and she delivers on her usual rich characters and gorgeous suspense. (not to mention, the chase-type romance! squee!)I'm eagerly awaiting the next volume, I can't wait for more! *already pre-ordered*

So the scene near the end where Q remembers Fuyu was so nice that it reminds me why I like this author. Motomi -san knows exactly when to create suspense and thrill. I love her works and this is no exception.

This series is so sweet with a feel of spooky Halloween vibes. The main char after has her faults and she is trying to overcome th FM which is written ver wdll.

This is not the romance book you are looking for. If you're looking for super romantic shojo manga, this is not what you're looking for. This is an interesting relationship/friendship fantasy story. I wasn't interested in the first volume but the 2nd volume is much better. The story progresses well and I'm actually glad this isn't just about a romantic interest. If you've read Dengeki Daisy, you'll like this one too.

cute and fun to read.

"But the good news is basically anything is possible. As long as we have faith."WOW! This volume hit me HARD! I'm not even sure I can put all my words into this review, except that I will be buying this series ASAP! (I haven't decided if I'll get Queen's Quality yet, even though I do have all the volumes checked out from my library currently!)We see a lot more into Fumi's backstory, which was definitely VERY surprising, but the reason I loved this volume so much is the focus on community and how we are not alone. These sweepers have come together as more than just coworkers, but as a family who loves and cares for one another. They spoke about more or less sharing their burdens with each other because the jobs they do can be wearisome on the spirit and I just could not even because that resonated so deeply with me, especially in relation to Fumi's struggles. She is always searching, but here she has found her people, her family, who are willing to teach her and walk with her as they all grow together. Plus the themes of never stop hoping and faith were very moving. Truly, it was extremely powerful. So powerful in fact, that I honestly feel I need to reread this volume to soak everything in. Such a great and fantastic volume and even more excited to read the final volume of this prequel series to Queen's Quality!

I brought this for my friends birthday and she loved it so much she finished the entire book the day i gave it to her!!

I really enjoyed this one, I can't wait to read the next volume. I highly recommend this series. b b
