Yes you have to remove the blue covering for the stamp plates to work.

Just tried and love so far. How do I clean the plates?

You can clean the plate by wiping it down with alcohol

Do you have to have a nail dryer or lamp to set the product? Or can you just let it air dry?

There is no for a nail dryer if you are applying regular polish only gel polish. If you use regular polish, allow the normal drying time as usual.

Can you use regular polish ?

I have found that gel polish is the best as a substitute regular polish tends to be to thin in application but you will need a lamp for curing
