First off let me say I really like this product, it's good quality and it's a great buy for the beginner. It comes with cards to describe each fly and QR code to watch a class for which fly to use. I don't know if it could be made any simpler. If you want to know more about fly fishing go to their YouTube channel and watch away. I couldn't be happier as now my wife has caught the fever, I don't have to explain everything I can just say go watch the video. The kit literally gives you everything you al the flys t you need to catch Trout. Every size and type of fly is provided with multiple sizes. The kit come in its own boxes so you can throw it into your back pack and go fishing, great functionality. The display and look of the product screams quality. I have become a huge fan. Thanks to the guys at Venture Fly Co. I have watched a bunch of their videos and they explain it all. I can relate to the guys in the videos.

I've been fly fishing and tying flies for over 30 years, and these are High Quality Flies and Nymphs! I'm very impressed.

Pros: great selection and well organized. Has many of the “go-to” flies. Appreciate that they put varying sizes in the selection. Flies are detailed and well designed. And you can’t beat the price on these. Cons: the flies aren’t tied tightly. You can pull the body/wrapping of the fly down the shank of the hook with just your fingers, not even needing a clamp to do so. So even when you’re just tightening a knot, the body can slide down. Probably two or three uses maximum (but on balance, if the fish are hitting it, it’s gonna get beaten up anyway).

Great value, good selection. Great for dropper rigs with both dry and weighted flies. All of mine were tie ready with no prep, adjustments, or eye cleaning needed. Box is fine, nothing special. Central Texas if location is important to you.
