They are made in China. The material is hard plastic. They have been tested and passed under US toy ASTM F963 standards. They do not contain toxic materials.

Sounds about rite. Seemed to be an even amount of both. Very nice detail to our pirate party

How sharp are the gems?

The gems are not sharp at all, however, not suitable for small children.

So much treasure for the price!

Got these as Easter Egg fillers for my toddler boys- instead of a bunch of candy! They loved collecting all their treasure! Great for the sandbox too or water table! Definitely small pieces though so not for kids that tend to put stuff in their mouths
