High quality
I learned something about myself through this book. It has helped me see how I behave in my relationship with my spouse in a new light. There is a respectable amount of research in this book, both by experts and by Granneman herself through surveys. The most enlightening part for me was the four types of introverts. A questionaire is included to help you diagnose which type you are (if you are an introvert, that is). There's also plenty of tips for extraverts who read this book as well, to help them understand the introverts in their lives. I do wish there had been a little more in terms of unexpected advice - most of the advice given are things I'd already thought of myself, but nevertheless the advice remains solid. Full disclosure: I am a personal friend of Granneman. Nevertheless, I can honestly say this book surprised me by its thoroughness and professionalism. It reads like any other general audience psychology book. As someone who has often been involved in small communities that congregate around blogs like this one, I didn't necessarily expect such a high-quality book to result. This is no CreateSpace or Lulu vanity pub; this is the real deal.
