Lay-Z-Spa 60303 LED Light Accessory for Hot Tubs, 7 Colour Underwater Light (2 Modes)

Mixed reviews on this when we ordered. Thought we would give it a try- first light despite ensuring everything was tight - let water in on first use. Thought maybe bad luck so asked for a replacement- this one appeared to be ok, let water in a little bit drained and dried out - used half a dozen times with no issues, went to use tonight totally dead- tried changing the batteries still no use. Shame really as really effective and gives off a lot of light. Really bad reliability, waterproofing needs sorting! Won’t bother again.

This the 4th one I've bought. Work for a day or two then fill up with water and stop working. Leading to everything inside rusting and batteries leaking. Cost was OK. Easy to fit. Look good when it did work for that night. By the next morning full of water. And thrown in the bin. No faith in this product.

I have Lazy spa maldives and was looking forward to receiving this light , looking forward to the ambience it might create. It arrived promptly and on installation worked brilliantly. Then after changing the batteries for the first time I noticed the external rubber switch button appeared to be corroded , perished....I re installed the light and it worked for one use of the hot tub. Afterthat it would not switch off and 3 led lights remained on permanently, all be it very faintly. I changed the batteries again, just to be sure but on installing them the same 3 led's came back on with out operating the switch. Take Note from 1st purchase to failure was 3 months.. I'm going to contact Amazon and the seller to see if either will resolve my problem and issue a replacement. I'll update as I know more. Till then beware .

Fits to the lazy-spa inlet but not to the chlorine dispenser unit, so you can't have both attached at the same time. I got round this using elasticated string to hold it on. Once i sorted this out the light was great. Until the second battery change after about two weeks... then the waterproofing failed, water got into the batteries and circuits and it broke. Now I'm off to buy another one. But this time I'm going for a rechargeable non-layzspa one that will simply sit on the floor of the spa. Lesson learned there I suppose.

Great when it worked but I've not even had this four months and it's broken. I went out to use the spa after a fortnight without having been in there, and I found the LED light and battery compartment had detached from the bit that screws into the wall of the spa. Consequently the batteries had leaked depositing large brown rusty and battery acid stains in the bottom of the spa - see pic for the broken LED light and leaked batteries. I'm going to have to drain it down and hope there's no damage to the spa. I'm not even sure how this can happen, surely it's designed to be submerged except when changing the batteries? Very disappointing. Steer clear is my advice.

Only had for a few months before it stopped working. Amazon seller referred me to Laz-y-spa for warranty claim! Lazy-y-spa said it has no manufactures warranty! Who sells a product these days with no warranty? Item is not designed or fit for purpose and should be withdrawn from sale. I have worked in the electronics industry for over 30 years and never known a product to not have even a basic warranty. Don’t waste your money buying it!

This light worked only once, I left it in place in the hot tub and the next day it would not turn on. After removing from the hot tub I could see that there was water inside the led area. I left the light in the airing cupboard to see if this would dry it out, but this did not work. An expensive single use item.

After one use it leaked inside battery pack , and it definitely does not fit the Helsinki lay z spa , went on the lay z spa help line and they said it doesn’t fit and would ruin chemical connector if you do, so we use a hook idea , looked nice but lasted once until it leaked .
