Millennial Money Management: Unlocking finance for everyone

While working as a Portfolio Manager for the last decade I have come to realise that more and more people my own age are being shut out of the world of finance and investing. We were not necessarily educated about how important it is to save, invest, and grow your money so that you can realise your goals and dreams. The cost of getting good quality financial advice is rising so the way I see it you have two options; Option 1: The Ostrich Solution: stick your head firmly in the sand and refuse to take it out again regardless of what problems may start occurring around you. Option 2: The DIY Solution: start learning a bit for yourself. Take an interest in how some of this fits together so that you can make a few informed decisions for yourself. I am not saying that you need to drop everything and enrol for a Masters in Finance, just that with a little understanding you are going to stand a much better chance of hitting your financial goals than the Ostriches. In this book I have set out to provide a practical introduction to economics, investments, and how to make your money work for you over the long-term. This is not a get rich quick scheme, it's not going to make you a millionaire overnight or have you sailing off into the sunset on your new yacht. But, I hope that it is going to help fill in some of the gaps when it comes to planning for your future.
