LED Driver
The LED driver has cured the problem that I had with my illuminated bathroom cabinet mirror. The original and the same make and model replacement driver caused the LEDs to flash. This one has the power to illuminate the LEDs without flashing.

Actual rating is 80% of specified rating of 60W
It was specified as 60W rating, hence one would expect to be able to put a load of 60W. The instructions say to only run a continuous load of 80% of 60W (i.e. 48W). For a 24V output this means a continuous current of 2A as opposed to the supposed rating of 2.5A. As I was replacing an existing PSU which was 60W, I was not expecting to have a derating factor to consider Annoying this factor was not specified in the words before I bought the item. Fortunately the load was just under 2A so I kept the unit. Fitted easily, Totally enclosed, No exposed terminals and works as expected. Warning it also needs 50mm all round for a free flow of air.

Small and powerful, easy to fit
It is running my kitchen light strip, and works fine. Easy to install and lightweight, so good to fix on the wall with 2 screws. The connection block for the LEDs is a bit wobbly but no problems so far

Fitted in a bathroom light in guest room so never used. Tested and it worked but next ime we tried it had failed. No power at all.

Der REYLAX LED Trafo 24V 60W wurde als Ersatz für einen defekten Trafo einer Deckenleuchte erworben. Dafür sind im Handel verschiedene Modelle erhältlich. Dass ich mich für Dieses entschied war letztendlich Zufall, denn alle infragekommenden Trafos hatten bei den ein Sternbewertungen Kritikpunkte wie Flackern der Leeds, hohen Pfeifton beim Betrieb und kurze Lebensdauer. Meine Deckenleuchte hat einen Anschlusswert vom 24 Watt, um die Spannungsspitzen beim Einschalten abzudecken, entschied ich mich für einen Trafo mit 60 Watt, das sollte sich positiv auf die Lebensdauer auswirken. Das Anschließen der Kabel ist etwas fummelig, da die Leitungen um die Ecke geführt werden - siehe Bild. Warum das so ist weiß wohl nur der Designer, es wäre ein einfaches das Gehäuse praktikabler zu gestalten. Eigentlich wäre diese Einschränkung einen Stern Abzug wert, letztendlich überwog aber die Freude, dass die teuere Deckenleuchte wieder tadellos funktioniert, ohne Flackern und Pfeifton!

Na drie jaar intensief gebruik heeft deze het helaas begeven, een luide knal en licht uit. Ik heb dezelfde opnieuw besteld omdat deze bijna continue 3 jaar heeft gewerkt. De meest andere drivers gaan bijlange zo lang niet mee !
