Subjectively Spicy
Obviously everyone’s heat tolerance is different. Mine is admittedly pretty low, so for me- it cleared out my sinuses, and had my tongue tinglin’ But, overall, great taste. Definitely follow the direction on the bottle (5 tbsp + 3/4 c of water) and simmer the rice cakes until the sauce thickens. I think the negative reviews about there being “chunks” didn’t do this. It definitely needs to be diluted. Another note: like many of the other reviews, there doesn’t appear to be a safety seal on these jars. I think that’s just how they’re manufactured. If that’s a big concern to you, don’t order it.

Not spicy
Have always made my own sauce, but thought I'd give this a try! It's not really spicy which I don't mind. Overall it's a nice sauce if you don't want to make your own! Recommend!

One of my favorite
I've tried a bunch of different Tteokbokki sauces on Amazon. This one by Surasang is one of my favorite. Great level of spiciness (매운 음식을 좋아해요). The directions are all in Korean. For each serving I do the following: 50 g sauce (about 2 Tablespoons) 110 g rice cake (short round rice sticks work the best) 100 ml water (about 1/2 cup) Just throw it all together, bring to a rolling boil and cook for like 10 minutes on Medium until the sauce thickens and the rice sticks get nice and plump. When it's done, the sauce sticks really well to the rice cakes. Some other Tteokbokki sauces are really thin and don't adhere well. This one is great. Good stuff.

What else can you want for a stir fry

Be careful I was dumb and mislead by the photo.
Should have read closer. Shows 2 but at the lower price you you only get 1. Many brands sell 2 bottles at same price. Only reason I spent $13+ was because I mistakenly thought I was getting 2. My fault but NOT a good value!

Super yummy!
I tried tteokbokki sauce from a different brand that I got while in another state. It was super delicious and I love the flavor, but, where I live, there is 0 Korean influence. Finding this stuff is nearly impossible, but thanks to Amazon that has changed! This one was not as delicious as the brand I tried originally, but it was still very good. I really like marinating my pork belly in it and then frying it up for my lunches.
