I had looked at two other antennas that were a lot less, but they did not fit even though they had plenty of different threads to add. None of them worked. It was $34 and change, but it worked perfectly. I had tried two other antennas that were a lot less, but did not work, so avoid the hassle and know that this is a reliable good antenna and it picks up the radio stations. Great give a thumbs up.

I had lost my OEM antenna in a car wash and was able to easily remove the remaining threaded stud using a 1/8-inch left hand drill bit. This antenna screwed right into the existing female thread and the radio works great. Just for reference, I checked the thread on the stud I removed, and it is a size M5-0.8.

I bought this for my 2008 Tundra. The stock antenna was never impressive. I basically listen to one talk radio station, and on my trip to a neighboring town my stock radio would lose reception within a few miles of my town. Preparing for a long trip I changed over to a stubby, anticipating a possible car wash scenario. The stubby was virtually useless. I’m roughly 3 miles from the radio station, and the reception would be gone within just a few miles. Now on to the new antenna here. My trip yesterday was the real test, and it passed glowingly. The show I listen to? For the first time I was able to listen for the entire 30 mile trip. That was a first. I can rightfully give a thumbs up for this product, and if anyone is on the fence about ordering this antenna, rest assured you will be one happy customer. Order away!
