Great product... works better than expected
I was skeptical but am now a firm fan... Color match was perfect. Leather is now soft and looks great at the worn and cracked spots on the motor coach drivers and passenger seats...Easy to apply and buff out with a soft cloth... We worth every penny...

Super easy! Super fast! Worth the buy
Works great. I simply dabbed the bad spots then used the small sponge to literally paint the chair. The kit comes with small sponges and a scoop. Simply scoop some paint, I applied it to the sponge, and I dabbed the cracks first. Next I repeated and wiped the chair. Done. Easy to use and apply. It dries fast and makes a fantastic difference. There is no odor at all and the value for the money is super, beats buying new furniture. The color match was spot on and the quality of the paint was nice. More of a thick paint, not runny.

Fast, easy & great results - brown to gray
I got this to re-color my brown chair to gray. The process was pretty quick and easy and I’m thrilled with the result. The instructions were a little lacking on what to use and how, but basically just spread the dye over the furniture with whatever feels appropriate and let it dry fully before applying more. Definitely wear gloves. The gloves included felt thin and flimsy but they worked great and kept my hands quite clean from the dye. I did this project completely in my office with no windows open and there was no smell I could detect. I did one coat on this recliner and that used up most of the dye, leaving enough for touchups, so if you’re doing a larger piece of furniture, multiple jars will likely be needed. I’d planned on doing a couple coats, but was pleased with how well this gray covered the brown that I was pleased with this result. It goes on kind of like paint so I was able to easily cover the brown with the gray. Speed-wise it was a really quick process. I started with the back of the chair and turned on a 90-minute movie to watch while I painted my chair. I was able to sit in the chair to watch the ending of the movie, so I’d say it took me maybe 45 minutes to paint this recliner fully and it dries quickly, maybe 15-20 minutes, especially with the ceiling fan helping (note: heat is not recommended). So if you want to easily transform an item, it’s possible to do so quickly with this product. Some sections stuck to each other after painting it, like the backrest to the arms, but were easily separated without issue. It did feel a bit stiff and maybe crunchy at first, but after buffing it with a soft cloth and sitting in it, the leather has softened up. After sitting on the chair the past week, it doesn’t feel like paint on a chair. It feels natural, soft and comfortable. There was a decent amount of cat damage to the chair and this helped conceal that well. I think if I’d added mink oil as recommended, that would’ve helped but just the dye alone has helped significantly. It doesn’t seem like it will scratch off easily either. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this product. It’s easy to apply, it dries quickly and the result is exactly what I wanted. I don’t always have a lot of patience for projects, but this did not require much. I’d definitely get it again.

Great color balm with cheap tools
It works great but not with the tools they sent. I cleaned my discolored repurposed stresses recliners with 50/50 rubbing alcohol & water. The goop went on thick and the foam applicator broke immediately. It made a mess. Might be good for shoes or a purse. An old wash cloth is suitable for applying the color balm to chairs. After three coats waiting just ~20 minutes apart, The two chairs look GREAT❣️ Bought them at an estate sale for a couple hundred dollars and one sells new for about $1500. So I would give this product 5 Stars but for the poor applicator. One jar did both recliners. The rubbing process took a couple hours and went on easily with the old wash cloth. Highly recommend!

sofa refurbished
I applied the balm to a sofa that had sun and wear damage , it did an amazing job in covering both . it was very easy to apply, water clean up.I had to apply a thin coat to the rest of the sofa so it all matched, but that was still very easy .there was enough dye to do a sofa and love seat.

Easy to use and looks great!
I know my before and after pics aren’t the best but I figured any picture is helpful when you’re sifting through product reviews. Relevant background: My car is a 2006 with full leather interior (so I have not tried this product on vinyl) that i’ve owned since 2017 and all this time, I thought my interior was originally dark grey. Well, when my cat peed on me and my drivers seat and cleaning it notably faded part of the seat, I went looking for a color matched leather recoloring product and found out that there IS NO grey leather in my model and year, it was just faded to grey by the time I got it in 2017. So clearly I was working with pretty badly faded leather when I applied this balm. Amount used: I used it on several types of leather finishes as you can see in my car, some were more absorbent than others. I did all 4 doors, front and back of all my seats, headrests, my leather dash and glove compartment, and a handful of other leather trim pieces. Some of these parts I did two coats on as some were more faded than others. I did the entire drivers seat, front passenger seat, center console, 3 of the doors, and a few other spots here and there twice. The rest I did once. This used up almost exactly the amount in one container. Perfect amount for a car with an absurd amount of leather and a ton of fading. Application method: I tested several application methods with different tools and motions and the one that produced the best, darkest and most even coloring was using the yellow round sponge that comes with it in a buffing motion while applying light pressure, kind of massaging it into the leather. This was true for all the different leather styles in my car. For spots that had damage (scrapes, tears, extra deep wrinkles), it worked best to use the edge of the yellow sponge to press it into the indented area then rub it in around the area without rubbing over top of the damage. It’s not a filler and if I were to do it properly, I’d have used a filler, but I just wanted to diminish the appearance of my damaged spots and this was effective for that. Results: after finishing, it looked great but became very matte and felt dry to the touch after 2-3 days. I used a wax and solvent based leather conditioner (I make it myself but Montana pitch blend is very similar to what I made and used) over top to put the moisture back in the leather and provide a light sealant, as it’s obvious the factory sealant wore off like a decade ago. After applying that, it looks and feels great and is holding up! I would plan on using a conditioner like this a few days after the balm. Another thing I noticed before I used the conditioner was that, while it didn’t transfer to my clothes even in the rain, black did come off onto my cloth when I used a leather cleaner on it 5 days after applying. This is part of the reason I decided a conditioner with beeswax would be the best option. Since applying that, the black has not come off at all when cleaning. Down time: i found that 8 hours was enough for it to completely dry/absorb and be impervious to rain and not transfer onto clothes or skin. I did not check it any sooner than 8 hours, as I did each round of application at night when I was done driving for the day and checked it when I got up, so it’s possible that it could be good to go in less than 8 hours. I did notice color changes over the course of the 3 days after each application. The pieces that were in the best condition became more even, any sponge marks I left behind melted away. The pieces that were most damaged became less even, as the driest parts absorbed more of the colorant and became lighter than other parts. I would definitely recommend waiting at least 3 days before applying a second layer so that you can really tell what you’re working with. Then, again, would recommend waiting at least 3 days before cleaning the leather or applying a conditioner or sealant, because the color changes indicate that it’s not fully absorbed and at its final state until 3 days have passed. All in all, I am very happy with this product and my car looks amazing!

Don’t try this on leather car seats
Garage! I did a small inconspicuous area on my leather car seat. The color was fairly close that’s the only reason I’m giving it a one star plus that’s all I could do for a rating. I applied the first coat as directed. The sponge started falling apart I wasn’t even rubbing hard just light side to side even passes. I wasn’t in a hurry because I really wanted this product to work. I let it naturally maybe 20/25 minutes. I tried to scrape off the product with my fingernail to ensure it was dry before applying the second coat it was definitely dry. I applied the 2nd coat sponge started leaving pieces of itself. I went to the store and bought a package of similar sponges kinda like mister clean sponge but with no cleaner and not abrasive because their was no way the sponge included would even last long enough to do an entire single passenger seat bottom. I applied the 3rd then a 4th coat once again making it sure it dried naturally between coats. The sponges I bought didn’t fall apart. I can’t say the section looked worse before I started definitely can’t say it looked better very blotchy. The area I tested the product on was a backseat lower flap that was actually in good condition approximately 8”x24”This product might work on something like a purse. The cars interior temperature was about 70*

Brighter than expected
This is a very bright red. If you're going for a deep red match you will need to mix with black/brown to deepen the color.

Amazing!
Super happy, we’ve only applied so far. Waiting for it to dry. But the results are incredible. Saves a lot of money buying a new couch! Stoked.

Excellent - Easy waterproofing - doesn’t leak
Excellent product, highly recommends: it completely transformed my black leather jacket into a rich blue finish. That said, it does require some technique. I applied it with a paintbrush and used a foam applicator to remove excess and keep the layers thin and even. You need to work quickly, especially on larger areas, to avoid uneven coverage. It definitely takes patience and a steady hand. I also used a hair dryer between passes to speed up drying and minimize brush marks. The results were absolutely worth the effort. You’ll need to apply a spray sealant afterward for waterproofing. I used two light coats of MB Pro-Tex Water & Stain Protector (available on Amazon and Walmart) - the coloring balm didn’t leaked or fades. make sure the sealant is silicone-free, since silicone can leave a thin film once it dries.

Worked well on leather straps on my Prada Renylon bag.
After it dried I noticed it had a couple of drops on the nylon. I cannot remove them…does anyone have any idea of what would remove them.
