How long does the bigger bag stay fresh for? I only feed 1 cup a day

I also feed 1 cup per day. I repackage the bag immediately into several plastic sealed containers. I don't trust the plastic bag to keep fresh, and I don't want to be exposing the entire feed to air every meal time.
