MIU Fish Spatula Stainless Steel, Flexible, Polished Metal, Corrosion Resistant, Kitchen Slotted Turner [Upgraded Version]

Came as a set of two, I believe (been a while since we ordered and started using them). Great for fish as well as burgers on the stove; have not used them on the BBQ grill. Sturdy. Front edge easily slides under the food without tearing up the food. Handles are comfortable. Clean up easily in dishwasher, top rack. Months of use and they work great and look great.

I bought this for use when cooking our salmon fillets but I'm sure it works with all fish as well. The nice thing about it is that you tend to prevent the fillet from falling apart when turning it or when serving. In my opinion, it is pretty well made. It cleans up easily too. Worth having in your kitchen tool arsenal if you enjoy cooking and eating fish.

Just got my 'MIU France' spatula. Note that is the NAME of the company, NOT where the tool is made. Complaints to the effect that 'this is not made in France' are baseless. MIU is a company founded in Hong Kong and has been a Chinese company since its inception. Mine came with no open slots. Of course if it did, a return would be warranted. It is a three rivet full tang tool. It is wonderfully flexible. A couple of things: This tool is listed as 'stainless'. That does NOT mean it will not attract a magnet. Some stainless metals are ferric (#430) some are not (#304). Stainless CAN attract a magnet. This tool is ferric. Mine came with an edge ground to the finished metal. It was a good bit ragged. A bit of touch-up with a 600-stone and the edge tuned up well AND was as shiny as the rest of the tool. Maybe a Wustof is more expensive because it is made with austenitic stainless. That metal IS more expensive. It (304 vs 430 steel) matters not a whit to me. This MIU tool is beautiful, well-made, flexible...everything it is supposed to be and is advertised to be. VERY seldom have I found a tool or item I have purchased to be every bit as good as what it was advertised to be. THIS tool is a keeper 'fer sure.

This is a review for a MIU 11 inch fish spatula. Ironically I have not used this for cooking and flipping fish yet, but have used it for scrambled eggs, fried eggs, fritatta baked in cast iron, burgers, baked goods and a lasagna ( cutting and lifting out of a baking dish) and it works perfectly for all of these tasks. This spatula is the perfect balance of firm yet flexible. The handle is approx. 4.5 inches and this is a kitchen tool I would add to my 'must have' list. Out went all of my thick plastic spatulas and heavy awkward metal ones too. I primarily cook with stainless, cast iron and glass cookware and this spatula performs flawlessly with all of them. I am guessing it could work with a nonstick frypan because it is lightweight which would allow a delicate touch. Overall this spatula is well built, flexible, with all smooth edges and can be easily hand washed or put safely in the dishwasher. I highly recommend.

Very versatile and looks good too. Length is just right and easy to grip.

Bought this because it was highly rated by america's test kitchen. They were right: this is a fantastic flipper. Very solid and well made and quite stiff with just a bit of flex. also the thin leading edge makes picking up stuff like baked cookies and easy and enjoyable experience. the slight bend in the blade makes it even easier to use, especially when removing or flipping items in a skillet. Easy to clean and the short handle give you more control. Much easier and more enjoyable to use than all my other long-handled spatulas. Just be aware that this is not appropriate to use on teflon or other non-stick surfaces. But then you might want to rethink using those types of pans anyway.... Thinking about purchasing another one of these soon.
