You can apply it whenever you want, even if the grass is damp, However if it rains or snows after you apply it, you will have to reapply.

Nope. I tried it and it did not keep away the skunks. And the container I was sent said iguana repellent and not skunk repellent. But I’ve not seen any iguanas since…

How often do you have to reapply?

I reapplied 2 weeks later. Haven't seen the skunks since first application. 2nd application was to make sure they wouldn't return.
