Great game for medium weight gamers
This is a fun, medium weight game. See BGA.com. I have brought and taught this in our game meetup group. It's easy to teach. I'm willing to play this anytime.

Don't forget to keep the emperor happy!
This game is so much fun! Everything is dependent on your dice rolls, so there's always something you can do. Pretty easy to learn. playing time is decent, just depends on how quick you can decide what you're going to do. 10 out of 10 would buy again!

Fun, Addicting, Great Theme
Such a fun game! I heard about this game on Rahdo's Youtube Channel and knew I had to have it. It's not so heavy that I lose interest half-way through the game. Gameplay says 90 minutes on box - prepare for a bit longer if you are playing with the maximum 4 players for the first few times. I've played this game 3 times so far, each with different people than the last, so having to go through all the rules and different aspects of the game does take some time. I'm sure it'll get closer to that 90 minute mark the more I play with the same people. I love the theme of the game and the rules are very clear except a couple hotel guests have a marking on them that is not explained clearly - I put two and two together though, and figured out what it meant just from looking at a few of the other images on similar guest cards. Another complaint from friends is the long turn cycle between the first players' 1st and 2nd turns of each round... 1st player gets a token with a 1 and an 8 on it, 2nd player gets 2 and 7, 3rd player gets 3 and 6, and 4th player gets to take two turns in the round with 4 and 5. I really have no problem with this - it's only fair that the 4th player would get to go twice, and backwards from there, since 1st player gets 1st pick. Keep in mind - you could be waiting about 10 or so minutes between your 1st turn and your 2nd. Good thing about this though - your turn doesn't hinge on you being present during the other players' turns. I consider this as a nice break to stretch my legs or grab a snack. This game has so much return playability (I don't know another word for it) - I don't see myself getting tired of this game anytime soon. Hopefully this review was helpful!

Peak Board Game
This is my second favorite board game of all time. I played it once 10 years ago, and then the Lord brought this game back to my mind. So I bought it, and I have no regrets.

Really Fun game
This is a really fun game. The rules are pretty simple to understand, I only played 2 player games so far and it moved pretty quickly. The components are nice, the boards are nice. I enjoy the artwork. It’s got some strategy, a little tactical with some luck mixed in. Overall it has been a fun game and glad we added it to our ever growing collection.

Fine game for two players -- friends, significant other or kids
You may not love this as much as I do, but this game works really well. It's a light weight 'euro' that keeps you thinking. I only play it with two and that seems fine. Takes about 45 minutes to an hour if you move along. Decisions are meaningful, multiple paths to victory, some luck, some interaction (choosing limited resources), quality components. GAH deserves its strong reputation. If you want war, space, zombies, dungeons or farmers look elsewhere but if you just want a nice challenging game, buy this.. It's smooth, balanced and entertaining.. Game does play 3+ but there are probably better options.

Great dice drafting/engine building game FOR TWO PLAYERS
I think this is a fantastic...2-player...game. I am so glad to see that the BGG consensus is that the game should be played with 2-3 and is best with 2. This is a game of competing hoteliers. Each round dice are rolled, the number on a die corresponds to an action, the more dice associated with that action for the round, the more powerful that action is. You then select an action and remove a die, making that action weaker. Each player gets two actions each round. The actions are making food and drink, opening hotel rooms to accommodate guests, making money, and hiring staff. Each round you can also attract a customer to your hotel who will order a specific combination of food and drink. When you complete their order you get a bonus ability and they occupy a room. My favorite part of this game is the engine building. Staff and guests each provide special abilities and there is a lot to juggle. Food and drink, money, open rooms (opening which takes money), and even a special "emperor track" that you want to be at specific points at during three different rounds and will grant you an extra benefit or penalize you. You can combo a lot of these staff and guest abilities and that is what makes this at best a 2-player game in my opinion. Turns can get long as you chain a bunch of different abilities and effects off of one action. And there is nothing for you to really do when it isn't your turn, there isn't any player interaction past taking guests and actions your opponents may want. The turns also snake which means the last player in turn gets to go first for the second set of actions. So you can end up waiting a long time to do something in a four player game. But the variety, variability, and solid system interaction make it a great duel experience.

Great game. My brother owns it and I wanted one for me and my husband and our friends to play. Would definitely recommend for ages 10+ (if they are good at strategy games).
