This worked great for making my hair color disaster better. It made the bright copper tone down with just one application. Don't forget a good conditioner for your after care. Your hair might be stressed from the color and the blue shampoo I will say this- it's really important to wear gloves. This shampoo will temporary stain your hands if you don't.

Calmed my brassy highlights. The first time I tried it, it didn't do much. I only left it on my hair for two minutes before rinsing it out. The second time I left it in for five minutes, and that's what's shown in the before/after pic. I'm a convert. 5/5 would recommend.

I over processed my copper, going from blonde to copper. I was orange, Chucky hair orange. I began process two days after over processing. I used as directed for 3 minutes on wet hair. I didn't see much difference-1st pic. Did immediately again for 3 minutes on wet hair and same results - 2nd pic. At this point my hair is dry so I lather hair in hair oil for 4 hours the apply on dry hair for 30 minutes and it was the most successful. This is the last photo. My hair isn't too dry but I have one random hair strip that will not wash out and is a green. I will use clarifying tomorrow after sleeping with hair oil but the copper color is coming through and orange is disappearing. My camera doesn't reflect the crazy orange going on. I gave 5 stars because this product wasn't designed to remove orange Chucky hair. It is for the orange under tones, but it did help and I love this brand.

This shampoo seems to help with my red brassy tones. I use it once or twice a week.

I recently went with blonde highlights from brunette. Parts came out brassy and orange compared to the ‘virgin’ hair that has never been treated in the past and I really noticed it after coming home from the salon. My stylist recommended a blue tone shampoo to help with toning brass. I used this and didn’t notice much of a difference from using my normal purple shampoo that was a fraction of this bottle’s cost. I did however notice my hair had a heavy and dry texture until the next wash even after conditioning. Not a bad product, but not better than a decent pigmented purple shampoo. Wouldn’t spend the money on this again.

I’ve heard about this shampoo for a long time; A close friend of mine swears by it. Now that my hair is lightened, I decided to try it. I have very long, dark, and straight Asian hair. Of course, lightening dark hair will lead to brassy strands. So, blue shampoo is great for in between lightening and toning sessions. The scent is fine and not as chemically as I was worried about. My hair is a bit less brassy after one wash, and it will probably make more of a difference after a few more uses. It’s not the most moisturizing shampoo (that’s not its main job anyway), but my hair feels soft and moisturized after using it with my regular conditioner (Virtue brand). I say this shampoo is worth a try if you have naturally dark hair that’s balayaged. I can’t speak for someone who has lightened their hair so much to a blonde or platinum color (they should probably use a purple shampoo), but I feel that this blue shampoo helps dark hair that’s lightened a few shades and is described accurately on the bottle.

This shampoo caused me severe dryness and breakage in my hair which is otherwise healthy and strong! It didnt even help with the orange tone! I wish I could get refunded for this now im stuck with it as it’s passed the return window.

I started getting gray coming in on top so to hide it I get my hairdresser to use a semi permanent brown dye and then he adds blonde foil highlights. But lately he never leaves the highlights in long enough when I am under the heat lamp so this results in a reddish orange brassy tone I cant stand! I had tried a couple of purple shampoos I had on hand while waiting for this to come in and with those it wasn't a very quick fix. This shampoo came in and I washed my hair last night and left it on for 20 minutes. Washed my hair again tonight and left it on for 25 minutes and it has already almost taken all the brassy orange tones away and is leaving me with the blonde highlights that should have been there to begin with! A couple more washes, maybe one more and I think I will be good to go for awhile. I have read some people on here say it was a shampoo that left their hair really dry but trust me, it really doesn't compared to the others I have used! The others I have used dried my hair out so bad it felt like a hay stack! This one actually feels more moisturizing than any I have tried! And I did not buy the matching name brand blue conditioner like I did previously, cause I just could t afford it this time so I just used my regular conditioner and everything is good. The matching blue conditioner to this shampoo is a much much lighter blue so I don't think using that conditioner really makes that much of a difference as far as helping to also drastically eliminate those brassy orange tones like the shampoo does.. The main product is this deep dark blue shampoo that does the trick! And yes it will dye your hands if you don't wear gloves so either deal with it or wear gloves! LOL YOU WANT IT that dark blue so it stains everything it touches because that potent blue dye is what makes this shampoo so effective! I also put on a plastic disposable shower cap on my hair while i am letting it sit.The picture of me with most of my hair showing turned sideways is showing how brassy orange my hair was before I started. The other pics are showing how it is looking after just 2 washes.

Great for toning down the brassiness & giving brunette hair a nice ash tone . But not too ashy still leaves a lively shine to the hair

If you have orangish hair due to colouring this help but it doesn’t do magic, you have to use it at least three different times to see the orange fade away. But it’s great in a no damaging your hair way and doesn’t make it dull or dry.

Got it to cancel out the orange brassiness in my hair. I think I noticed a small difference but it could be in my head lol. You have to use a lot to notice a difference.
