Natural Redhead master class “how to” tutorial
I’ve been using Hannah hair color for 25 years, This is an amazing product and I’ll tell you in this review how I use it personally. It’s really important that anybody who is new to this understands how this works so you don’t get freaked out. I am a natural redhead so what I do is I blend three different shades equally. (3 colors in video) In my case, I only do the lowest 3 inches closest to the scalp and then I ONLY pull through the rest of my hair when I’m all done because I’m always doing my roots. Barely pull any though and keep pull through big sections and not too much will keep it matching roots and more natural looking overall. My blend: 1/8 of a cup each of three different red colors. Do not blend ! Just pile the three colors in a small bowl. Add hot tap water a very small amount at a time until you get a yogurt consistency (see video) A little water goes a LONG way, especially as you get close to perfect so don’t put too much. DO NOT over blend colors together - your not trying to blend the three powders to make a new color your trying to use the three colors to make natural highlights like natural hair would. Quickly get the consistency without over blending is the trick. Always use a rubber glove because this will stain in your fingers and your fingernails. The color at this point will be green that is normal and to be expected ! Application: use a glove and use your fingers. start making lots of parts and applying to your roots liberally and thick. After you’re all done, go all around your face very carefully to make sure all white hairs are done (my case) I also use a Q-tip and add some to my eyebrow hairs. Whatever you have left in your bowl is what I pull through the rest of my hair only do it in large sections And don’t oversaturate. In my case, I’m not trying to change my hair color. I’m trying to go for natural highlights so I’m pulling it in sections not totally saturating But more loosely, pulling it through. Think about it like you’re using the rest of the bowl too match the root color in sections so it looks natural again like natural hair would. The last thing you’re going to do is take a moistened washcloth And clean your face / ear / neck skin and around your hairline and around your eyebrows, so it doesn’t stain as much as possible. This will temporarily stain your skin. Timing: On my eyebrows for 20 minutes and leave it on hair for 40 minutes How to remove: Only use water and a little bit of gentle conditioner. Going to be rinsing out mud from your hair, And you don’t want to splash this tinted mud all over your shower and your shower curtain because it will stain so I’m very careful when I’m in the shower to do small arm movements and always rinse areas right after I’m done to make sure nothing gets stained. You are only using conditioner no shampoo And that very first time all you’re trying to do is remove all the mud and gently condition your hair and that’s it. Your true revealed color won’t show up for 12-36 hours. Harsh shampoo will strip it faster out of your hair. What to expect: Your hair will look a little bit green at first, Especially if you are covering white or gray in my in my case. This is totally normal. The color doesn’t show up for a while. I always suggest you do this over a weekend Or when you don’t have to go to work or be in public the first couple times, you do it until you figure out exactly how to do it and what to expect. This will last about a month and in my case I really don’t use hardly any shampoo, Only conditioner And I’m able to make this for quite a while. If you shampoo a lot, your color probably will not last as long. Remember, It will look a little bit green at first and your true color will take a little while to show. Adjust timing If you want a deeper tone, leave it in longer, If you want less of a deep tone of whatever color you choose, don’t leave it as long. This is an absolutely amazing natural way to color your hair. The results are amazing. You just have to get used to what to expect and how to do it. I hope this helps others ❤️

Warm Chestnut on Naturally Medium Brown hair
I love this henna color! I wasn’t sure how much of a difference the Warm Chestnut would make on my hair but it enhanced the tone so beautifully. I would consider my hair to be a very medium brown and was looking for a bit more contrast which is exactly what I got! I mixed in paprika, black tea and some other spices to bring out more brown and red tones as well. I don’t have a lot of hair (it’s short and kinda thin) so I definitely didn’t need to use the entire package of henna powder. I could’ve used half and still had extra so I’d recommend saving some of it for your next dye/ touch up (unless you have superrrr long, thick hair). I let the henna sit for 3 hours and the color was pretty dark when I rinsed it all out. I didn’t wash with shampoo for a day or two to lock in the color and it has lightened a little over the last few weeks but nothing too significant! If you have medium brown hair, the Warm Chestnut is a great color to use to add a little more contrast and depth to your hair 🤎

Dried my hair out
Didnt love how dry and brittle it made my hair but the color it tinted my highlights was vibrant and beautiful and lasted about 6 weeks. It did give me alot of product though, I have long hair and I was surprised to still have some dye left afterwards. Honestly not sure id buy again, although I had purchased a second box while it was in my hair still bc my mom wanted to try it also.

warm chestnut absolutely beautiful color
I have medium brown colored hair that is slightly graying. I used the warm chestnut color and also added 1/2 tsp nutmeg as well as 1/2 tsp paprika into the powdered mixture. I followed the directions exactly, using distilled water and boiled in a pyrex measuring cup, used plastic spoon to mix thoroughly. After applications I wrapped my head in saran wrap and then covered with plastic cap and then a cloth turban wrap. Put the blow dryer to warm up head for about 5-10 minutes. I left the henna on for two hours then rinsed with warm water only. Afterwards put in a leave-in conditioner. My hair turned out fantastic. It covered all the gray hair. Made my dry, brittle hair very soft and shiny. This product is amazing. Came on here to write this review and order two more boxes. I used to use hennalucent brand but since they are out of business, I read reviews that this brand is the next best. When actually they are the best. So happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!!!!
