Not smooth

A word of caution for anyone who intend to buy this particular item, it is made in China, and I doubt its the real thing, Parker pens are known to be made in France. I was disappointed when I recieved the pen, the box is not quite right compared to my other Parker pens that are made in France and UK. And upon checking, the box does say made in China, and there is no country of origin on the pen itself. The pen looks quite nice though, but mine had a paint defect.

Outstanding pen. Great look and understated style. Feels solid in the hand. Fine nib is perfect for writing clearly and precisely. Lost my first one and bought the exact same one again because I liked it so much.

The price to performance ratio of this pen is great - that is if you can buy it on sale. In the 30 - 40 euro range, it really is a top choice. And even at full price you don't have to think twice about buying this pen. The pen comes in a nice "gift" box that is wrapped in another protective white box. Of course whether the box will be presentable or not is another question (see the attached photos). As always, you play the lottery with Amazon shipping, but to be fair they are always willing to send a replacement, so this is just something to think of when you need the item to arrive okay first time right. As for the pen itself, it is really beautiful (I got the matt black with black trim version). The weight is absolutely perfect (although this is very subjective) - not too light, and not too heavy to make your hand fatigued after a while of writing. Some other reviewers have mentioned the build quality of these pens has gone down - I don't know since this is my first Parker pen, but let me tell you that the pen feels absolutely solid and sturdy. Yes, there's a bit of plastic in the part of the pen you hold with your thumb and index finger, but to me it seems like quality hard plastic - definitely not something that gives you the impression it might break after a month of usage. I have to say that it really does feel heavenly to write with this on quality paper - the pen just glides over paper so smoothly that it's got to make even the biggest pen nerd smile while writing a grocery list. Lastly, I got the fine nib version, and there is minimum ghosting on good quality paper (I've been using the blue "quink"). I don't put much, if any, pressure on my pens, so maybe that's why. The only paper where ghosting is decent is Moleskine's 70 gsm paper, but if anyone complains about fountain pens ghosting on 70 gsm paper, there is no helping them... If you haven't tried using a fountain pen, do yourself a favor and give this beauty a go. I can't recommend it enough.

Me encantó, se siente ligera, el color negro mate la hace ver elegante, escribe bastante bien y se desliza de forma ligera, la punta no genera resistencia como otras marcas que generan cierta resistencia en la hoja. Me encantó. Lo único que no me gustó es que por el precio imaginé su estuche sería diferente, se me hizo muy sencillo, sin embargo esto no le resta puntos al producto.
