The best least ordor cat litter there is
It tracks. So what? Put a little cheap washable bathroom rug next to the litter box and your kittys paws will drop the bits of litter before they get far. You do have to "stir" it every day. Yes EVERY DAY. This is essential for it to work as advertised. If you didn't stir it, and remove the one poop per day, then don;t complain it didn't last. I'll forgive you if you forget to stir it once a week, but not twice. It lasts about three weeks before you have to swap it out. There used to be better ones out there that lasted longer with smaller amounts, but those are no longer made. Stick with the micro. And use more, if it's not lasting three weeks, even with stirring. I have two cats. It takes four bags every three weeks, possibly four. Don't be tempted by brands that use those jagged chunks. Those jagged chunks will hurt and cut up your cat's paws. The micro has more of the texture of sand. It has some dust so wear a mask if you're prone to asthma. Especially at change time. The most awesome part of this is that the litter box itself won't need to be replaced or vigorously washed except maybe once a year. I've had the same litter boxes for five years. The crystals keep everything dry so there's no chance of getting germs ground into the plastic making it stink even if you replace the litter. That does happen with the clay litter. What's even more amazing is, there's no added fragrance to the crystals. They're odorless. They're not masking an odor, they're absorbing it. Put this in "saved for later" in your cart and when you notice the price has come down, stock up. There used to be a larger size half-round litter pearls version of the crystal litter. It didn't roll around everywhere but it did track more than this. You still had to use the bathroom rug trick to keep it from going all over. I miss that. It worked better than the micro crystals. But that hasn't been available for idk maybe 10 years. There's a brand name out there called Pearls but it's just jagged chunks.

Absolutely THE BEST
I have had 10 cats in my home for the last decade. I have tried an array of different litters. This is THE BEST CAT LITTER I HAVE EVER PURCHASED!!!! Hands down. I will never buy another litter so long as this is available to buy. It is almost dust free, there is very little tracking, there is no urine or feces odor at all. None. The cats love it because it is very fine in texture, very close to sand. I use XL stainless steel litter boxes, so it does take 2 5lb bags to get to the proper levels, but Iโm not mad at it as it seriously is the best litter. People literally cannot tell I have cats in my home.

It says it's 99.9% dust-free, but...
It says it's 99.9% dust-free, but... that's not true at all! It releases dust, a lot of dust, it's just so fine that you can't see it with the naked eye. I noticed this one morning when I was cleaning my cats' litter box and the sun's rays shone directly on it, revealing the cloud of dust that rises every time I scoop the litter. You can see it clearly in the video because I turned off the lights and illuminated the litter box with a flashligh... It's a lot of dust!! If it weren't for this one issue, this would be the best cat litter because it seems magical! The urine disappears before your eyes when you mix it properly with the dry crystals, and the feces don't emit any odor. This product is truly impressive, and I was thrilled with it until I noticed the dust, which worries me because of the potential health risks for my cats and myself. I have three cats and have been using this litter for a week, and it still looks almost new, except for the slight yellowish tint it's starting to develop. I used one bag for each of the litter boxes (I have two), and it's working magnificently so far. It's a shame that it's so dusty, but I think I'll keep buying it anyway, since I can't find any other litter that's truly dust-free and works this well.

The best cat litter ever!
I tried this cat litter on a whim while I was living in FL. I purchased it on sale at Publix. I can not say enough about how great it is. I think the best part is the 'tracking'. With all the other cat litters I have tried, both crystal and clay, it drove me crazy stepping on pieces of litter everywhere I went. With the Ultra Pet Ultra Micro Crystals, there is minimal tracking...and when it is tracked out of the litter box, the crystals are so tiny! No more stepping on big pieces of cat litter! I do only have one cat, and have closely monitored how long this cat litter lasts. I also have the electronic cat litter box, so I do not need to 'stir it up', like I would if it wasn't electronic. This cat litter definitely lasts for 1 month, and I have found at times, I can almost push it to 5 weeks. And now for the best part.....Amazon now has this on 'subscription' pricing! I pick when I would like it shipped and I get it for a cheaper price than buying it in the store, AND it is FREE SHIPPING! I set it up for a bag a month to be delivered (wow, I will never be running to the grocery store to get cat litter!) but can change it, if I find its not working. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAT LITTER!!!! I can not say enough about it! UPDATE: 2/3/13 I ended up cancelling my subscription, because I was back down in FL and I could just pick up a bag when I was shopping. I have since moved back up north and the only place that sells it is an hour away....so I decided to change back to clumping litter...OMG.....not a great decision! The dust was everywhere, the house stunk of cat litter......I can't stand it! I still do not understand why it is so expensive through Amazon, but I have to go back to subscription! (and just to let you know, first time I was under subscription it was for $6.74 a bag....but then jumped to $17.00 a bag!) I still highly recommend it and will NOT be changing again. P.S. I tried the Worlds Greatest Cat Litter.......it was absolutely the WORST EVER! My cat absolutely hated it....it stunk terribly!

Only lasted 2 weeks
This is my honest review. I was excited to give this a try. Very soft and fine. Holds odor well initially. At the end of two weeks, it was unbearable. Longevity: One bag, one cat, one month - Not at all. One bag lasted me from 8/1 - 8/14 and that was a big stretch! I even stir it 1-2x per day. Can't understand how it would actually last for 30+ days as advertised. I truly had high hopes for this, only to be disappointed. Definitely not saving any money with this if I have to replace it every two weeks.

By Far the Best Litter
I have been a cat owner for 30 years, and have tried almost every form of cat litter - brand, off brand, clay, pine, corn, clumping, non-clumping, scented, unscented, large crystals - off and on throughout the years. Despite that, I have continued to look for a better litter. We have two cats and two XL litter boxes in furniture-type enclosures. The boxes are scooped at least twice daily. They are washed with baking soda and vinegar, and the litter completely changed, weekly. I am using one 28 lb bag WBCL multi-cat per week. Despite that, I (and the kids) still noticed smell towards the end of the week. I decided to change out only one litter box with UMC and leave our current litter in the second box in case they didnโt like the UMC. It has been 1 week and neither cat has stepped foot into the litter box with WBCL. Odor Control: At 1 week, there is zero odor. All other litters, except for the large crystals, would have started to smell by this time. The stool is completely dried out and scoops easily. Clumping: UMC is non-clumping, but does require stirring daily, especially if your cat prefers to urinate in the same spot in the box. This particular litter does not clump at all, and is definitely not like concrete, as mentioned in other reviews. Cost: Some say it is pricey. It took two bags to very generously fill one XL litter box to more than what half a bag of WBCL would fill. WBCL is costing ~$25/week. If UMC is changed every 2 weeks, the cost will be the same or less than WBCL. Clumping: UMC do not clump. It does not turn into concrete, but does require stirring for odor control. Consistency; UMC has a sand-like consistency. I think the cats like the way it feels on their paws. Odor Control: At 1 week, there is zero odor noted by multiple family members up close and personal with the litter box. Tracking: All litter tracks, including this one - but this litter tracks less than the rest. It does have a fine, sandy quality which some people may not like. I have found thar larger crystals are the worst for tracking, and even track across several rooms. Pine, corn, clay track around a single room. Downside: The litter is a little dusty when stirring. Stir slowly to mix the crystals and avoid dust. Summary: UMC Is the cat litter I will be staying with, and have already set up auto-delivery.

Price is Down and Still the Best
UPDATE: October 18, 2021 Apparently, the seller reads these reviews. Thank you. I have tried numerous crystal litters but keep coming back to this brand. (Thankfully, the price has gone down to where we can afford it again.) It just is the best. This litter, along with a Johnny Cat liner and disposable litter pan, has made my clean up time a whole lot easier. I just set the Johnny Cat disposable liner in the litter pan, (I buy them at Wally World.) then I set the disposable litter pan on that. (They are for sale here on Amazon and at PetSmart.) They are made with baking soda in them and lasts two weeks with our two cats, and one of them pees a lot. They really do help with urine smell. Both of our boys always pees on one side, of the litter pan. Now, when they do, the disposable box absorbs it. I hated how litter would get soggy and the bottom, of the bin would become stained. So, with it and Ultra Kitty, I have the ideal combination. I am going to love having this set up when our bitter Minnesota winter gets here. Before, I had to put on my outer garments and boots, stand in the freezing cold and dump the litter into our garbage can. Then I had to put that into our trash bin. Now, all I have to do is pull the liner up over the disposable litter pan, tie it and dispose in the garbage. It is just that simple. This sure is going to be great during our freezing Minnesota winters. And, also, at my age, anything that saves my back, keeps me from freezing (in these bitter Minnesota winters) and saves me money, I am all for it. First Review: After trying clay, pine pellets and wheat, I finally, found a litter Max will use. Before, I was cleaning up poo, off my floor, every day. At least, he had the right idea. He would go close to the pan, but hotgo in the pan. Triedltra Micro Crystals. It has changed every thing I hated about litter. It is easy to scoop out the poo, which it neutralizes within seconds. It only takes me a few seconds compared to 10 minutes dealing with litter that stuck to the box and became like wet cement. When I tried using the pine pellets, (I even had a system made for them), the sawdust did not go into the bottom bin like shown on videos. And Max hated them. I mean really hated them. He would pee in it, but he would not poo. A friend gave me an expensive litter that was suppose to indicate if your cat has a kidney or urinary problem. It did nothing for that. Our Kit's kidneys were failing and we didn't have a clue. {That litter didn't show a thing except both cats were urinary healthy.} It did, however, get Max to stop going outside the box. I am one to save a buck wherever I can so I started doing research for a cheaper alternative. That is when I found this. From now on, I am using this litter. It isn't dusty, it stays fresh for a long long time and it is super easy to clean. My pockets thank you. No more struggling to carry a huge litter pan to the bathroom. These crystals are a win win all around. My sanity and health thanks you. After 30 years of lots of cats and every imaginable type of litter, I, finally, found the one I'm sticking with. (Excuse the pun.)

[-5 โ 's] Unbelievably AWFUL!
I've endured some of the worst, cheapest litter imaginable given that I have quite literally (not figuratively) lived w/ cats my ENTIRE life. That said, I have never encountered anything quite as bad as this garbage. I have a new kitten & she's not yet been introduced to the automatic litter boxes that the 2 older cats use. If you've never used an automatic box, they usually require a particular type of gel, crystal, silica litter that's quite different from standard clay litter. Most cats need to adjust to the drastic change in texture. The suggested method of doing this is to gradually introduce the gel crystals into the current litter until the box is eventually filled w/ only the gel crystals. This is a relatively quick & simple process that can be done in a week maybe 2, or even a matter of days. So, why bother buying the more expensive crystals when it's only going to be used for a few days, right? WRONG! This useless trash was a world of problems from the MOMENT I opened the bag. I started to cut the corner open & a plume of dust blasted out like nuclear fall-out! I couldn't see or breathe & I was by a large, open window. It was so unbearable that I had to rush outside & pray that the dust hadn't permanently clogged my lungs! (Not literally, obviously... but that's certainly how it felt.) The dust alone was reason enough to toss it out but once I could breathe again I was forced to battle a toxic stench that words can't describe. Once my eyes cleared up I saw that the entire bag was basically a fine powder. More like talcum than "microcrystals" or even fine sand. Refined table salt has larger grains than this litter. I'm sure that it's EXCELLENT at reducing the odor of cat waste but only because the amount of dust & toxic "scent" are too overwhelming to allow for the notice of anything else. I wouldn't unleash this mess on my worst enemy... let alone, my cats! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY... time, your health, &/or that of your cat's on this absolute GARBAGE!

Ok product, doesn't last a month
I have one cat that is 4 months old, I ordered this with the following expectations : less dust so it wont get my sinuses acting up, less clutter, smell control, and to last a month. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The dust will linger on my cat causing my throat to get itchy, clutter on the floor was more than minimal which i would have ignored if it was not for the other issues i faced using this litter. After 1.5 weeks the smell control starts deteriorating significantly, i scoop poop at least twice per day and my cat wont use the box if there is poop in it given the smell. Finally the litter barely makes it to 3 weeks without getting super stinky. In my opinion if u dont have bad sinuses and can afford 2 bags a month this is an ok unscented product.

My cats don't gross me out anymore
I am very happy with this. I had a melt down one day because my cats kept making a disgusting mess with regular litter and after working all day, I didn't have it in me to clean it up. They'd put litter on the walls, track it all over the floor (their litter box is outside my bedroom door as well so gross litter was the first thing and last thing I saw and smelled all day). I cant believe I didn't buy this before now. With two cats, I can keep a bag for a little less than a month. The smell is contained for about 2 weeks at a time, then the last week I really need to clean it again. I'm also only using one bag for two cats which is less than what is recommended and I understand that. This litter has made my life so much easier, it tracks less and so easy to clean up. It doesn't stick to the litter box like clay litter. I now have this product on auto ship. I was concerned about the health of this for my cats, but after reading more about silica, I learned it is the dust that is harmful. This is not dusty. When you pour it, don't inhale, it's leaving the bag it's lived in and going somewhere else. It makes sense that the smell is a bit strong. If you are starting to hate your cats because of the mess and smells they make, please for the sake of your own sanity buy this litter. My only wish is that the bag was bigger. Because it has made my life better, I have given 5 stars.
