Does this phone have a real Bell ringer that goes "ding" when I'm mad and slam it down? Or is it an artificial digital bell?

It has a real ringer but I wouldn’t risk banging it down. The phone is of good quality

Yes, it works in the Ohio, WV, and KY. This phone only has one extra feature, and that is redial. I love mine, and so do the kids; it works fine.

Is this phone compatible with modern digital phone lines?

Sorry, it is not compatible with digital lines. It is a analog telephone which is compatible with common landline lines. Just like troditional 1960's telephone, functional with calling and receiving a call.

Is the body and receiver all abs plastic? One review was wrong, plenty had rotary dial up well into early 70's

Looks and feels like plastic. Feels like the ones we had back when we got our first rotary (up in Maine) around 1955. We switched to buttons around 1980 (monthly rate was higher for the buttons).
