Buy the Caldigit cable when you hook up to the iMac... much better than the cheaper ones...
you get what you pay for when buying quality cables...

Cable works, but it came used when i bought it new.
The cable was used when i paid for new. The packaging was opened and taped shut. I did get a refund, and was able to keep the cable. It does work fine. I can recommend the cable, but the fact it was used was a bit sketchy. But that's on Amazon, not CalDigit.

Perfect cable for high speed data transfer.
I have an external NVME drive that is capable of speeds up to 1GB/s read and write. Sadly the cable that came with it was only 6 inches in length, and my only type C port is on the rear I/O of my Motherboard.I was routinely looking for something over the last few months and stumbled across this cable. It fits the bill for exactly what I need. I was even able to exceed the speeds of the included cable and saw just under 1.1GB/s. I had tried multiple cables, but none could operate at the speeds of the supplied one. This at least allows me to place it on the top of my case or my desk now where I can easily access or connect my phone and Steam Deck for high speed data transfers.I'm quite happy with the purchase and if you're at all concerned with speeds, since it's Thunderbolt 4, you shouldn't have any problems with a bottleneck, be it for data transfer reasons or using it as an alternative to DisplayPort or HDMI for supported GPU's and Monitor's.

Good quality but broke after 2.5 years
Good quality and connectivity, used it for over two years and it’s really convenient with my ASUS monitor (combines charging and HDMI). However it broke down after 2.5 years which feels a bit wasteful given it’s almost 50 dollars for a cable. I bought it thinking it’ll last longer than that.

Works with CalDigit TS4
Not all cables are the same, I tried a few (cheaper) ones and they all couldn't handle my TS4 (2 monitors 1440p 120hz, goxlr, webcam, external ssd, keyboard). This cable works flawlessly just like the original. yes it's expensive but if you need the full power of TB4, get it.

Great for laptop use!
I've connected my 2019 MacBook Pro to a Thunderbolt dock with this 2-meter-long cable so I can sit with the laptop on my lap (imagine that) and have several external drives connected from afar. It works. I'd ordered another, cheaper, cable from another manufacturer and the slightest movement caused disconnection of all the drives. I'd tried several ways to steady the connections but no luck. Then I tried a short CalDigit cable that came with a CalDigit dock I use at the office and it seemed to be reliable. So I took a chance (not a chance, really, with Amazon's return policy) on this longer cable. A week into it and so far not a single disconnect. It must have to do with the connectors gripping more tightly, plus the sheathing on this is a more flexible plastic than the off-brand's braided sheath. Don't skimp if you want reliability. Others may be just as good but definitely not the one I tried first. Unfortunately it's too late to return it.
