Worked very well to get internet to my home office. Was able to use the existing house coax run to get 100 megabit internet hookup. While this may not give you the full download speed of the faster ISPs out there, it is far more stable then a WiFi connection going through a bunch of walls.I am getting ~ 95 Megabits of throughput.Latency did go up about 4ms compared to using pure wifi/ethernet.Latency stays stable during usage which it did not with WiFi.The coax run I used is ~ 50 Feet.I would recommend this to anyone that has a remote area in their home/office to extend reliable network.For powering these, i simply plugged one into the USB port on my router, the other into a USB port on my monitor.These require a USB device to power up, not just a power brick.

Since moving to an apartment with to-the-home fibre, we have struggled with stuttering and pixellation on our Bell Fibe 4K PVR. The original installation failed within 1/2 hour. The call-back tech installed ethernet over power adapters but again, shoddy service. Note that the fibe termination appears in our laundry room and there are 3 cement walls between there and the receiver some 15 feet away. WIFI 6.2 seems to be very line of sight - not uncommon as you increase RF - and it will not consistently make the corners involved in that short space. The problem with Ethernet over power in an apartment building is that you are not isolated from signals (intentional or other) of all the other units.My search for options led to ethernet over coax since there is coax feed to all the rooms - isolated from all other units. The price of these units is very low compared to all other brands I found while the branding suggested commercial quality. I was not disappointed - rock solid stability. I know my issue is common but the techs don't seem to try this option.Perhaps they don't like to use the idle coax as it usually provides CATV competitor service but it is "inside wiring" and belongs to the building owner, not the provider.If you are having choppy 4K transmission and can't route ethernet to your receiver, try these. You cannot go wrong - particularly at this price.

Sirven bien y puedes aprovechar tu vieja instalación coaxial solo que olvide comprar los cargadores.. Es muy difícil tener una conexion USB de .5 amperes así que no olviden comprar los cargadores. No se desesperen pueden tardar un poco en establecer conexión con tu router pero realmente funcionan

As richardrx4 outlined quite well - the USB power of these units requires a connection to a PC/Mac or any other DATA activated USB port to work.I have personally tried at least 11 different USB power adapters in vain + also tried a couple of Active USB hubs (the ones with external power supply).So far, the only success has been with a PC USB port on one side and my Android media player USB port on the other side.It is worth mentioning also that the ping between the two ends of a 10 meter BNC cable resembles a lot the result of a Powerline ping! I have done the Internet speed test from the same PC over BNC and over Powerline and the results are attached.So, bottom line is - even if one manages to find an independent USB power adapter that would power those devices - the end result might well compare to the result of the less hassle Powerline solution.UPDATE: As richardrx4 pointed out, the option with the 12V power supplies would not work either, as those power supplies are intended for the US 110V power network and would most certainly blow up if connected to the European 240V power grid.On other hand, I have seen in some forums that people have taken the liberty to buy the option with power adapters, just for the sake of cutting the wire with the barrel connector, which later would solder to a proper 240V-12V power supply, thus bypassing the 110V limitation. This might be an idea.

Used the product to connect CCTV to a local server. Works perfectly!
