Air Spencer C10 CS-X3 Squash Refill – Pack of 10

I’ve been using this car fragrance for over 10 years. The scent is clean, fresh, and not overpowering. Quality has always been consistent. The price has gone up a bit, but it’s still worth it. Highly recommend.

The best air freshener for your car ever!!! I used to buy these at car toys and they were way more expensive. The exact same thing here and the scent is so worth it. They also look cool on your dash. Would highly recommend!

Great product, love the scent

I basically bought this out of sheer curiosity. I've used "New Car Scent" tree air fresheners all my life, but wanted to try something new. This air freshener is obviously quite a bit more expensive than the usual kind, but there is a reason for that. It's STRONG AND LONGLASTING. It's actually borderline overwhelming when new. It's been a week and a half and it's still at about 90% strength. I placed mine under the driver's seat to keep it out of the sun as per some recommendations, and it does indeed seem to keep it healthier for longer that way. Note that all the case seems to do is keep the actual air freshener packet in a closed environment. You could probably achieve the same effect by buying the freshener refills on their own and keeping them in their partially opened plastic bags. As for the scent itself, it's difficult to describe. I'd say it's something in between fruity bubblegum and dish soap. It's a weird smell, but not one that I mind. It's still very strong in my car and I wish it'd tone down a bit; I get the feeling it'd be a more pleasant spell when it mellows out into "subtle" territory. Still, I've gotten a bunch of comments on the smell in my car at least, so it's a nice ice breaker and conversation starter. No one has voiced any displeasure for the smell either.

These were great 20 years ago and great today. Love it!

I got mine April 1. It is May 20 now and still smells the same. All I did was unwrap it and put it in the case then threw it in the little door storage compartment. I did not open the vents even a little and the scent still comes out. I think the people who complain about them fading after only a few weeks open the vents all the way and some put them in direct sunlight. I live in South Florida. It is currently in the 80's and 90's every day. This air freshener still works. I doubt heat causes them to fade faster. When I open the door and get in, I'm hit with a blast of heat and CS-X3. It kind of smells like bubble gum or some kind of candy mixed with Ozium and just lasts seemingly forever. Mixed with leather seats and the HEPA cabin filter, it smells nice in there.

I bought the Air Spencer CS-X3 Squash scent because I had read so many good things about it online, but my experience was really disappointing. When I first opened it, the smell was actually really good—clean and strong without being overwhelming. However, it only lasted about two weeks before the scent completely disappeared. I rarely even open my car windows, so it’s not like the fragrance was constantly airing out. I replaced it with the second refill, and that one was even worse. It smelled strong for maybe two days, and then it was basically gone. For the price and the reputation this product has, I expected it to last much longer. The scent itself is nice, but it burns out way too quickly to be worth it. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.
