This grill has been a game changer in my kitchen. This grill is awesome. The light(and a beep) tell you when your food is rare, medium, or well done. I like this because I"m not that good at guessing and I like not using a thermometer. The first thing I cooked was frozen chicken breast.....since it was my first time I cooked it until after it said it was well done......but by that time it was a little dry. This time I cooked a thick steak from Walmart(yes Walmart), I was worried because it was thick, but anyway, as soon as the light and beep said it was medium well done I took it off.......Wow.....it was perfectly well done.....even this thick steak......and it did not take very long.....having a top and bottom grill that you just close over the meat is great. No turning....no messy grease splatter. This grill is also SUPER easy to clean. The grilling 'plates' are easy to wash, non-stick, but I do spray some non-stick spray on it too just before I put the meat on. Push a button and the plates come off in your hand. Easy to clean in the sink and/or put in the dish washer. Today after the steak I put some asparagus on the grill for a couple of minutes during it's cool down and it came out great, olive oil, salt, pepper. Someone online suggested using frozen asparagus so I just let it thaw out first. So yeah, I debated about this grill....I wasn't sure I would use it much.....but I like it. It's another fast cooking tool I have to make meals with. 3_26_2026 update: I still use this grill on a regular basis. It's great for burgers, instead of grease popping all over the stove it simply drips down into the catch pan. Today I cooked frozen tuna steak and it did a great job. The grill marks on the Tuna had a 'caramelized' flavor to them. Just added salt, pepper, and butter. I was worried about cooking the fish from frozen but it did great.

This Grill is by far Bar None the best one I have ever used i've been using it since it came in and although the instructions tell you to put a light coating of oil on the panels to help with cleaning later you don't even need it this thing comes perfectly clean with hot soapy water. Hands down like I said the best grill I ever bought it keeps an eye on the food for you doesn't overcook anything in the temperature settings are perfect everything on it is very easy to clean and maintain even if you didn't have time to clean up right away it is amazing how much dirt and crap comes off of it with just soapy warm water I threw my old George Foreman grill out as soon as I saw how this one performed

Worth the wait! Our older George F Grill bit the dust. This is a higher priced replacement, but worth every penny to get a decent sized plate for two people. All the newer George F's available were too small. This is 10 times better than any GF Grill available - food cooks evenly, fast, and done to perfection. It does all the work, and the manual mode works well too. Cools off fast, not too heavy, perfect for two or more people. I wish I bought it sooner!

I love this grill! This grill is so easy to use. It's fast. I really enjoy cooking my food now because less mess. If I want a little bit more fat on my burger then I just pull out the grease tray and poor it on my meat. This is so easy to use with all the different settings. I love that it beeps as it changes from preheat, to cooking, rare, medium, well done, etc. This is nice because I like to put a little bit of raw cheese on my burger toward the end. I put the cheese on and while it's still in cooking mode, I hold the lid just above the meat and it melts it fast. Then, wallah! Perfect meat. The benefit of this over the air fryers is there is no weird taste or smells that you get with an air fryer. Plus everything is dishwasher safe. I highly recommend. I went from hating to cook and now I enjoy it.

Get this bigger XL. I have both that one and the smaller version. The XL can cook more at one time and really does a better and more consistent cooking job than the smaller one.

Its great just takes a little time to get use to using it. Nothing cleans easier. I just put the cooking parts in the dishwasher. We've cooked frozen steak. It was perfect. Had a couple things that were just under done. (Pork chops and burgers). So that's a learning curve. The food tastes better than we thought it would. Chicken comes out tender and juicy. We're glad we purchased the large size.

I do not cook. That is to say that I have not used a stove or oven for many years. I live alone and only have to prepare food for myself. That said, fir the past several years I have been using, in addition to my microwave oven, a Breville grill. It is reliable and cooks fast. However, there is no way to anticipate what real temperature to set and for how long, as no two pieces of meat, hamburgers, or anything else that you are grilling should take. I never could get a consistent result. I enjoy my beef medium rare. Too often it came out very rare and had to be put back in to cook some more, or was over cooked and needed to be discarded. Recently I purchased though Amazon an Optigrill XL. My choice of this grill was predicated on the fact that it determ8ned cooking times for you with no need for any input. As advertised, each and every time I have used it, which is once or twice every day, my meal came out perfect. Besides being a wonderful grill cooking wise, cleanup is a cinch. I let it cool down for a couple of hours, and then remove the ceramic covered plates. They wash of easily with plain water, a dishwashing liquid, and a plain sponge. This is a fabulous grill, and takes the headache out of cooking. Enjoy!

Cumple con los términos de cocción que promete. Fácil de limpiar. Deja la carne jugosa. Para los que dicen que no funciona o que terminan calculando el tiempo manualmente, les recomiendo leer el manual. Me estaba pasando que no dejaba completar el ciclo de precalentado y se pasaba a manual, lean su instructivo. Las recomendaciones de temperatura para vegetales están bien calculadas. Filete mignon de 1.5 pulgadas quedó perfecto a término medio y tres cuartos. Salmón perfectamente a término medio con piel y la piel no se pegó en la parrilla, quedó perfecto. Lo más simple como sándwiches y tocino sin mayor problema a la perfección. Recomiendo hacer una copia de la tabla de colores y cocción para tenerla a la mano en la cocina. Excelente compra, buena calidad de materiales, superó mis expectativas. Altamente recomendable.

This is a very nice kitchen appliance. Cooks raw foods perfectly every time. Frozen foods not so much. That said, it warms up fairly quickly, beeps when it’s ready, measures the thickness of your food automatically and starts to cook all in one swift motion. Listen for the next series of beeps and watch for your desired tenderness colour on the led indicator and your food will be juicy inside and nicely grilled outside. I love sausages and this cooks them perfectly with no grease remaining and with no flame there are no nasty flare ups. The grills themselves detach with a push of a button and clean up super quick with a rinse of hot water and the toss them in the dishwasher, come perfectly clean every time. Quality seems top notch, almost restaurant quality. Very happy with this purchase as my apartment does not allow BBQ’s and this fills that need.

Una maravilla, para cocinar de manera fácil y practica sin aceite. Cocine pescado, carne y pollo. Sin problema. Las pechugas las deja jugosas y bien cocinadas. La carne depende de como te guste, pero es buena elección para cocinar sin humo. Muy recomendable

Love the grilled sandwiches and my Greek style chicken on this thing....Works fast and keeps things tender & juicy....Great for rainy or snowy days also when Barbeque is not fun .....Just buy it ....Youll save money eating your own food and save electricity cuase you dont need to run a big stove....Bottom line its perfect for those that dont have time or who dont know how to cook....Its smart tech sensors prevent food from burning and clean up is a breeze....Bottom line dont hesitate ...This device has made our meals much quicker and efficient...Thank You T-FAL for such an incredible invention thats made our life better!

This grill is incredible. Steaks, chicken, ham and most veggies come out near perfect... as good as they can without an actual flame in my opinion. We have had it for a few weeks and we use it for more than half our meals now. One thing you might not expect, it's fast! Chicken breasts cook in less than half an hour, faster than our oven. Steaks are like 15 minutes. So you put meat on the grill and then race to make your sides before the grill is done. We haven't ordered takeout since we got the grill, we can whip up meals faster than I can drive to the restaurant and back. Also, if your meat is frozen, just click the snowflake option in addition to the meat type, and it still comes out perfect. No guesswork, when it sings its song, you take out the food.
